In 2021 Intramuros administration spearheaded a plan to make the entire Gen Luna st. pedestrian and bike friendly by restricting cars and improving its walkways.
The improved and paved street of General Luna is now open to public for a pleasurable tour.
General Luna Street in the Walled City is lined with structures reminiscent of the Spanish Colonial Era, highlighting the Filipino-Spanish heritage of the country.
