Dematic provided Bolloré Logistics with a goods-to-person (GTP) system that is designed to be highly flexible. Within Bolloré's Blue Hub facility, seven RapidPick workstations operate in the picking area, with a 4-aisle Dematic Multishuttle system supplying products at high rates. The system design provides flexibility to adapt to changes in SKU range and order profiles, including retail and e-commerce orders.
To further drive innovation, Bolloré Logistics introduced robotic piece picking into their operations, which will allow Bolloré Logistics to install goods-to-robot cells, operating up to 24/7 without the need for pickers.
