Improvements to the Harbor Freight 36" Metal Brake 

Not only are those improvements well thought out....your bends look great down to the paper! This video motivates you to do all those modifications!

Nicely done. Seams most HF tools need a fair amount to tweaking to make them function as they were intended.

Heck ya man I got one of these bad boys I used it building the floor pans on my GTO on my channel. I like how you beefed it up. I’d like to make mine longer and it would be perfect.

thanks for this video and sharing your mods. I have been trying to get mine to bend 20g mild steel and couldnt do it before the forward and back adjustment brackets would slip! thanks for giving me hope the thing could be salvaged with some mods.

Good video. Do you use the magnetic angle finder on repeat bends of the same angle?

Overall you can't beat the price, I have one from 10 years ago, and never had to do anything, always been a good break,,,just bought the English wheel,, same one 3 other companies are selling for 500 dollars, I payed 230,and I have no complaints, it's not the same one they was selling a few years ago, much much better

Can you do 14g mild steel with this after the upgrades?

What was the thickness of metal that you used on it I am thinking about buying it to break 16 gauge steel which is 1/16

Ive been bending 30" wide sheets of 1/2" thick steel with my special mods.
