@@soverycleanStevie is demonstrating what is very common in jazz and the Blues.. thinking compositionally. Keep in mind that he was surrounded by great musicians at Motown from a very early age 🎵
Genious is an over used and overrated word but in this case the man really deserves the title. Maybe you've seen it already, but this is a must watch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-i6g4vZYEm64.html So funny
D'ed'e I think Prince could write a song at a drop of a hat. Little Richard could go to the piano and write anything. So can Lionel Richie. I've seen Lionel and Little Richard actually do it. And Prince said he wrote a song a day. So I believe he could with no issue.LOL. But the term musical genius is tossed around a bit much, but the 4 mentioned are that.
@@courylanders4142 just so happens to be some recording artists or songwriting, music composing folks that are astounding (The late Rod Temperton & Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire, some would say Ray Charles, some would say Jimi Hendrix or Miles Davis). Just depends on the listener or admirer, generation and music genre. A pianist may be infatuated with Nat Atterly, a trumpeter may hear Dizzy Gillespie's genius or Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis may be enamored by the songwriting, music composing & extraordinary production of Kenny Gamble & Leon Huff...so, it depends. R. Kelly's peers could say the same about him. But surely, Stevie Wonder & Prince can't really be disputed as GENIUS. Lionel is questionable for me, exceptional songwriter he is though...not familiar with Little Richie's music. I think some artists have been refreshingly brilliant, Kendrick Lamar, LAURYN HILL, NAS, ANDRE 3K/OUTKAST, even Kanye...
THE GREATEST SINGER/SONGWRITER, ARRANGER, PRODUCER, MULTI-INSTRUMENTALIST, CIVIL & HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVIST & HUMANITARIAN EVER!!!! Stevie Wonder= God of ALL Music !!!
You Know why .........lol Question is " What number is he on MOSAD's list Headline reads Mr Gervais a true Stoic in every sense of the word took his own life today...friends and family told our news team (fox, cnn, nbc, bbc & fcuk unews) this was so out of charture; why would anyone who lived with no filter give a fuck enough; to have had enough.I guess we'll never know. He will be deeply missed, Its just like him to go where others fear to tread or tread on... "was that okey" Shhhh! yeah Police did say Hackney was a long way to go just to end you life but are not treating as suspicious. His body is being cremated as we speak members of the Jewish community raised funds to help with funeral cost; stating it was the least they could do.. Back to you in the news room Jimmy; we'll keep you posted on updates
Let mever forget to embraced our differences. I see all of those amazing Afro hair style and im blown away how freaking cool they look. I ised to see back in the 80s some women from other countries doing Afeo hair styles as well because back in the 70s it was embraced and accepted. Idk why today I see celebrities with blonde wavy hair. If one does not accept one self, noone else will.
My mother told me when she was a teenager in Detroit that she used to go see the talent shows of all of the young Motown singers and they paid with bottle caps.
Sesa Naga Matepi She was a young teenager and new some of the Motown stars when they first started out in their singing groups. She said they had talent shows and that's what you had to bring to get in was bottle caps.
The dude's just having a little fun and the beauty of it is moving me to tears. Stevie Wonder is the father of modern soul music. Before him nobody was trying to sing like that and once he made his mark for 10-15 years, EVERYBODY was trying to sing like that. If he hasn't won the Gershwin award yet, the Gershwin award doesn't even mean s**t. (OK, update: He won it in 2009, the second one ever awarded, preceded only by Paul Simon and yeah, he's a beast of a songwriter but nowhere near the singer and performer as Stevie Wonder.)
As I recall those days, there was indeed a great deal of pride and unity in the community. At the time, there was a great emphasis on getting yourself together which meant getting a good education. This is a very touching scene. When I watch this it makes me so sad to see how things have degraded in the world of entertainment where music has actually been weaponized against the unity of the community. I’m so glad I was raised during this time period when it was very normal to call each other brother and sister instead of these horrible names we so routinely and publicly call each other now. Thank you a Stevie and especially thank you the Late Great Don Cornelious
I wish we could just go back to those days. Hurry up with that time machine! The Seventies just had something that is sorely missed in our current age, especially when it comes to music. Thankfully, Stevie is still with us. He's our link to those halcyon days.
@@janetownley They’re both great to me. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t consider Stevie Wonder similarly important to pop music in the late 20th century. He was a fan of the Beatles, friendly with them personally, particularly with Paul McCartney, they wrote songs together, and he cried and was depressed when John Lennon died. I’ll take that as an endorsement.
Madame Delon sharing a flash from the past... I'm standing behind Don Cornelius in a white turtleneck with a red & white Plaid blazer next to Damita jo Freeman in red shorts
God, please send us another brother like Stevie Wonder........a real totally talented thinker, composer, singer, producer, etc Stevie Wonder is one the living proofs that God is real!
Stevie opened the door to another culture, other life, other country to me. I was born in Germany, later I lived in Latin America, my daughter was born in Dominican Republic. I appreciate so much that I could live there, with the people and their culture!
I remember this as a senior in high school class of 1973. This is entertainment, but make no mistake, it is also absolutely essential to young black teens at that time. Don Cornelius was a serious man, you hardly every saw him smile much less laugh, but Stevie had him laughing. That Speaks to the power of music and the Genius of Stevie Wonder. Back then you didn't see too many people that looked like me on TV. This show was a part of the Civil Rights movement because it kept young blacks like me at the time believing and joyful on the inside. Never missed an episode of Soul Train back in da day. RIP Don Cornelius.

Do you know how talented you have to be to come up with chords, lyrics, and addictive melodies on the fly like that? Stevie is truly 1 of 1 man. Inspirational.
I m not black but I am In the sense that my African roots get me in a mood. Happy thankful for God . Black people is a part of my history and a part of my life
Andrzej Zaucha was a big fan of Stevie and Ray. Zaucha's version of "Superstition" was amazing, same as his 1991 live version of "Georgia on my mind". In the late 1980s when Stevie was in Poland he heard Zaucha's song named "Siódmy rok", he felt it and sang along!
