Yes do a Dave Murray Finger Tapping Lesson and Yngwie Finger Tapping Lesson. If you watch the live concerts they will throw in some finger tapping licks. The Main Point about Dave Murrays Trills is the rhythms are offset or asymmetrical so you have to find the trills when he is adding certain offset rhythms instead of the normal stock plain vanilla trills. You have to watch a lot of live concerts and find the trills when he is applying a certain "Trademark" rhythms to the trills. I see in your video lesson you have found a few of his Trademark rhythms and "added Mordent notes or added Ornaments" into the trills. There is a lot more you just have to keep looking and finding them.
"instead of ormal stock plain vanilla trills" - couldn't put it better myself! Cheers Wayne, I'll have to go on a voyage of Dave Murray tapping solos! 🔥
YES 🙌 always a good day when I see a new video by yourself and even better when it’s on Maiden!! The one you did on Janick not so long ago was ace! Interesting to hear their habits/styles explained and not just lessons on them 🤘 Good work and bring on the tapping one dude
Amazing video, if you want to deconstruct a tapping section of his, the live version of Sign of the Cross (from Rock in Rio 2001) could be a good one, I always loved the energy and fluidity when it kicks in.
Dave Murray's style was the first I ever spent a lot of time learning (30 years ago), and I'd say you've got the important bits sorted. Probably worth emphasising his wah technique, which is a big part of it too. Beginners should listen to some Hendrix to see where Dave was coming from. Great video!
Cheers dude! And, yeah, great shout Alex; his wah really impacts how he plays a lot of his licks! Props for the Hendrix reference, sounds spot on to me 🤘
Cheers Sebastian! That's been on my to-do list for years, I know Dave's style a lot more so I'll need to carve out time to study Janick and Adrian more closely... hopefully time to do it one of these days!
@@JbfMusicGuitar Sorry for late reply. You would have tone of fun studying both of them. I am on the Adrian vibe now😂. I have to say every member of Iron Maiden is a genius in his own way and made great contributions to the band and actually history of music. But I guess you know that for sure😅
Glad to hear it Lee! Not yet sadly, think the closest I've done was this Satch signature licks: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8MUrUqMoEp4.html or this kinda licks in the style of Joe Satriani in Phrygian thing: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VeNoTf0jSRs.html dunno if those are any use? But I'd totally be up for doing an improv one like this on him- will make a note of that for sure 🤘
So many good memories.. Iconic player.. Thanks for this Jack... AWESOME!! Will you take a look at Aldius.. All female Japanese band (another one) look at "We are" the music video.
