Played the head of the song quickly departed to improvise , returned for the head for one measure then concluded improvising ....master class .

Wynton Marsalis, like Al Hirt, is one of those very rare trumpet players who plays with individuality. His playing is like no other. I became a huge fan of his after hearing him play a Hummel concerto on the radio. I went right out and bought that album and have been buying his recordings ever since. Playing any instrument this well is a rarity. Bravo!
