The war broke out because Doc targeted Mumbo's base as revenge. Nobody messes with Mumbo and Grian's friendship.

The reality is, Grian and Scar destroyed something of Doc's because they couldn't help themselves. Doc understandably retaliated, to where Grian retaliated back. It all started because of Grian and Scar, and both of them knew it as soon as they did it.

@@mcihay246 The tunnelbore wasn't intentional. It was a genuine accident. And it's not like they didn't try to fix it... But honestly, the only person who is fully not at fault in all this is Mumbo. Man was just chilling and he gets his door blown up bro!

@@indodinoyoutube Yes. It was blown up to scare Grian. The difference being is that Doc already has a litematica schematic of Mumbo's door, and legit has the means to repair it completely. Just hadn't had the means to, especially when Mumbo is part of the Buttercups. Grian and Scar, despite it being an accident, hadn't even asked how to fix it. They would instead provide what they felt was good enough compensation. Their mistake was leaving quickly afterwards, because they knew they were in trouble. If they knew they were in trouble, that means they knew they did something wrong. Honestly, they're not children to where they're instantly forgiven for a grievous mistake. They're adults.

But do Grian (and Scar) qualify as "grown men"?

Oh, Grian didn't drag Scar into anything! :) Scar was actually the instigator. He was the one who was like, "I want to see the tunnel bore!" He was the one who was like, "Can we make it go?" He was the one who was like, "Hit the noteblock." He was the one who was like, "Yeah, basically, this is free diamonds! [Click]" Grian just wanted to show Scar the neverending dark hole, and he kept telling Scar that touching the tunnel bore itself was a very bad idea. Not saying Grian is faultless. Far, far from it. :) But he didn't "drag" Scar anywhere.

Escalation of Force... But pranks, not violence

I think it’s more of an accidental involvement with the war. If impulse and crew had not tried to get grian to finish the back of his base, he wouldn’t have tried to get out of work by going to the tunnel bore, and none of the prank wars would’ve ever happened. It’s a bit of a butterfly effect if you know what I mean.

I mean if we're being technical, things can be Grian-proof or Scar-proof but they can't be both.
