I hope y’all are doing okay during these strange and uncertain times! And if not, I hope this vid can distract you from it even if it’s just for 10 minutes. Stay safe and stay sane!
When bangs need discipline, and when a badass needs better tools...the determination in your eyes is boss. You definitely won out over both the bangs and the scissors! Looks great! Your natural beauty and confidence radiates despite any undetectable difficulties you may have experienced 😘
Every time I watch one of your videos I get closer to shaving the other side of my head into a death hawk... and quarantine has me strongly debating it now.
I'm very much in the same boat on the shaved side(s), staying at home alone doing nothing for too long has brought upon spontaneous haircuts for me before. 🙃
@Just Some Wendigo With Internet Access she filmed it last summer. It was filmed with video she posted before this one. I think she explained it in the comments under the other vid
My friend said that I won’t look cool with bangs and that I need professional scissors. So, two hours ago I went to the bathroom, took my nail scissors and cut off my bangs. And I look so damn gorgeous with it. I sent a photo to my friend, and she ignores me. So, if you want - try And you look amazing sis ❤️
You remind me of me I also cut my ends and bangs at home if somebody’s gonna mess up my hair it’s gotta be me not to mention you learn from it and eventually get better so it looks professional
I would have lost my cool in the middle of it, kudos for staying level headed😂 end result was really good, your friend was making it seem worse than it actually was lol
You’re like me when I dye my hair spontaneously and it’s 3am and I’m doing it in someone else’s bathroom. Like “shit I should fix that” “what are we doing” “I missed a patch I missed a patch I missed a patch” “can’t see the back of my head” “that felt like the back of my neck” “the back of my neck is probably blue now” and then loads and loads of swearing and then when it’s dry I’m like “missed a bit. Well fix it later”
You have been in my recommended periodically for like the last few years and I literally never watch hair videos, but has definitely inspired me to do crazy shit with my hair lol.
I remember when my bangs disappeared in my attempt to straighten it, in the end I succeeded, it was even, at the height of the hair root 😁 Mom still laughs, quite hard, when she remembers the look I had when I gave up and left the bathroom 😂😆
*Cuts the first time* looks fine *cuts the second time* Maybe it'll look better dry..... MaYBe iT'lL lOoK beTtEr stRaIghT! BuT iF i stYlE It rIgHt tHen mAybE it'S FinE
Hint from your friendly local hairdresser here 😁 if u ever want to trip the pointed vampu style bangs part them straight down the center and comb to the side and cut from the bottom out that way the lowest piece is the longest and your guide. The do on the other side and should make them even when combed back together. It's all thing we call overdirecting with a stationary guide. Hope this comes in handy next time
the music when you tried to cut straight across gave me this movie vibe when the main character realizes everything is going to shit and getting more and more serious/slowly going insane/about to snap
It‘s kinda cool that my mum always makes my hair and even how I want it! I never went to a hairdresser and I don’t have to cut or shave my hair on my own 👌
If you layer up your bangs, your scissors have it a little easier. You can also cut a way more precise line with thinner layers, because you can adjust the line and shape of it real easy! That's how I used to cut my bangs! Good luck!
I’ve been watching your videos for a few years and I respect your bravery and self reliance when it comes to your hair. As a fairly new cosmetology student my advice.... just cut them dry 😂❤️❤️❤️ love ya
You are just like me, wanting to have the most perfect bangs so I cut till i see myself and think “STOP ITS WORSE” although i dont have bangs like yours since im emo but its pretty much the same thing... if its not perfect it cant be
A sharp pair of shears is definitely a factor. Bangs are always tricky. And being a stylist i always tell people not to do their own, but I personally cut my own haha.
Oh man, as a bangs person for probably about a decade now (and cutting my own bangs just a few years shorter than that), I feel so hard with you in this video. From "okay, that looks not bad - but isn't what wanted, lets keep going *ten minutes later* @&%$ should've quit while I was ahead" to "I'll just poke the bits sticking out into place, that'll be fine - it's not, I know, but it'll be fine" to "&*%$ this! *&%$ that! I'm done! I'm. Done. *was not done*". (Also "oh yea, remember I'm left handed - guuurl, all the time.) It was split decision - you know your scissors were bad. After years you'll still make the occasional mistake, but practice really does make perfect. Keep it up, you're awesome!
I think this looks so good! I also think you would absolutely rock a pointed full fringe, as in where it’s like it’s shorter on the sides and they meet at a point in the middle (I’m not very good at describing as you can tell) but this look suits you 100% 👌🏼👌🏼
The best way to do it for me is when you cut the most part of it when is wet, and then with the hair dry and stretched, you can perfect the line with the hair cutting machine, respecting the hair swirl...
i forgot to say i have my hair always in fantasy colors and bowl haircuts and really love your passion with hair. i did to myself dreadlocks once for you and i loved it!. XOXO from Argentina :3
Hahahaha.. i can feel the struggle. It makes me uncomfortable somehow. Ans even more pressure when your friends started to comment and want to take shower. But i glad that you make it. Cool.
This reminds me of when I had bangs and I wanted to trim them. I ended up going to the hairdresser to get them fixed, because I kinda ruined them by making them crooked. Best 5 euros I have ever spend!
If you decide to cut them again, try point cutting next time (hold the scissors vertically) since the horizontal usually causes some wonkiness unless you have someone else do it for you
it happened the same to me on New Years Day and I kinda regret it now lol but since my hair is curly and I never straighten it anymore, my bangs are sided but what I do is to cut curl by curl only when it's dry, what you can try is to do it when it's dry, so you can see any uneven pieces more clearly (or at least in textured hair is) and good scissors are a must!
Nice job! You did great! 💜 When I used to rock blunt cut bangs I would use a clipper with no guard and buzz them in a U shape around my forehead. Now I miss my bangs. Damn.
You’re so beautiful. I love watching your hair be chopped and changed. I have always been kind of reckless with my hair with the “it’ll grow back” attitude but it never turns out as well for me as it does for you hahaha much inspire very chop 💖✨
I don't have short bangs, but I get mine cut above the brow so I can get more time out of them to save money, but I have trimmed them multiple times to tie me over before my haircut and they always look decent. I just do little but little. I live my bangs but they don't always want to cooperate in the morning, especially since I'm a stomach sleeper.
Try with the trimmer, works better and faster, but have the first layer (closest to your skin) shorter by little. ps. when using trimmer, use it on dry hair, usually hair falls different naturally, some part are more up, some goes left more, some right, so go with your hair. It took me some time to get use to it and get to know my hair XD
I think part of the reason you think it's f*cked up is, when cutting your bangs, you try making it a long, continuous cut... Which just makes you push your hair to the other side and makes an uneven line. Stylists take piece by piece when they cut. And you obsess over it so much. Girl, you're gorgeous. Don't worry so much :)
It’s easier to cut it when it lays down naturally. Then you can see how the final results are going to be right away :) just brush it down a couple of times with a comb and flip your head a bit to see how it lays and then you can cut bit by bit :) also go abit further back and see how it looks longdistance. Maybe that helps too
