Imagine witnessing a mild car crash, seeing a family get out of the car and rush to woods, so you decide to abandon your own car and follow them. Just because you were curious about why they were in such a rush?

Never understood why in so many movies of this genre, the inhabitants always choose to venture out of the base at night. Even if there is no way to tell the time inside the base, the doors should have went back down the instant she realised it was night.

Find a Costco warehouse or any of the same type, enough water and food for a decade. If rain was toxic, then a much higher percentage of people would die. Power would go out so only bottled water or filtered water (hopefully) would do to grow food.

Dad: "Protect your brother. He is the only way to stop the Virus!". Daughter: "Why though? Why not tell mom this info too?" Dad: "look! I could take 5min to explain EVERYTHING, to you both. But that requires to much common sence. Now; follow my vague info. I'm gonna go out into the direct rain storm right now!"

I guess in this universe, it’s good to be a plant since apparently they’re not affected by the virus whatsoever.

Maybe if you are going to open that door after 6 years, maybe do it during the day

Never heard of this movie but the theme is familiar. Classic "when the apocalypse comes people will be their own greatest enemy" story. The issue I think, is that in these stories they rarely show any contrast. It'd be interesting if we spent the movie watching this group make bad, selfish decisions, then justifying themselves by saying "its the only way to survive". But then, at the end we find a city of people who have thrived by working together and using their heads. It'd be much more meaningful in my opinion.

The dad really should have tried to explain what was happening. Maybe some notes, or a video message, or something.

How is clean water not more of a concern than food, in a world where most water is contaminated??

Good Tip: in an apocalypse, like this, it is fine to use sticky tape as it keeps the wound shut, clean and you wont have to replace it many times, like bandages but they come in big rolls. If you find sticky tape and you get a cut or stab wound it is easy and accessible to use sticky tape as many more homes have it than you think.

But if you can just take shelter in a building. Why 90% of humanity died?? The dad just pulled *"I'm getting milk"* and never come home xD Sometimes I wonder what if the mom survived because the children wasn't so oblivious

This is why, during an apocalypse, the kids should be left behind.

This movie has way too many plot holes, like seriously, through the years, wouldn't there be more rain? What about humidity? If the air was humid, wouldn't that mean that the virus is in the air too? The movie has a good idea but a poor execution.

The most unbelievable part is that trey survived 6 years alone without turning into Lord of the Flies and ate/kill/brutalized each other in a small dark confined space with no interactions with other humans. Realistically by the end of the first year one or both would be dead by offing themselves or inability to take care of themselves

The mothers death could easily be prevented but it wasn’t just because of the kids impatience.

Reminds me of the book "H20" by Virginia Bergin (there is also a sequel called "the storm"). Basically same thing, rain that kills people, although the story and how they deal with it is a lot different. Good book honestly if you like the concept.

I remember this show when it was shown on Netflix. My niece and I started watching it one day. Next thing we know we finished the whole series in a few days.

Kids are the worst!! Indiscipline. Couldn't even have the mother survive the first 24 hours. She should have gone out during the day since she told him she went out. So supermarkets are out of food already even though millions were killed in the first few minutes? Man stabs the brother and gets to run away....the gun was not working?

I just saw a video on The Next News Network from a woman in Illinois, she was very upset and urging everyone in North America to stay out of the Rain. She said it was eating shit, burning people's skin.... After the whole "white noise" thing with the Ohio train wreck... This REALLY makes you wonder.

Loved Mystery Recapped since I found the channel, I've also loved Series Recapped the same way. Only thing I don't like is that recently Mystery Recapped have been posting series as if they're movies. Don't get me wrong, I love both channels, just Id wish it would be clear that we'd have to wait and/or not be able to find the rest of the seasons on the Series channel. Like I said, I love both, just wish it'd be more clear which is a movie and which is a series. I do appreciate the recaps of either a movie or a show season though, it definitely takes a lot of work, so ty again Voice acting will neve be a problem though, we all love the voice actor

I've seen some of these movies/series covered, this one had an interesting premise but I couldn't get through the whole thing because they were inconsistent with how people got infected among other inconsistencies, one person dies pretty quick, , but then they have it as any water made contact with even years later after the rain, no water cycle or anything like that comes into play. Then at other points they have it acting slow and then a person can later infect others? Which one is it, it can't be both. It also doesn't affect other mammal species with similar immune and nervous systems even though it should if it acts in the way depicted. If they'd just been clear about that, it would have been watchable.

This is a decent tv show. we watched it in school bc in Iceland we study danish, so thx for making some of the danish classes fun.
