@@filds1 But the point the original commenter made is that Titan is waaaaay less suited for human life than even the most horribly polluted and destroyed version of planet Earth. It isn't as if Earth would blow up or be swallowed by a black hole or something like that in this movie. It just would be too polluted for humans to live there. It makes no sense to flee earth because it has become "unlivable" and go to another place that is even more unlivable. If you can make humans that are able to live on Titan, you can also make humans who are able to live on this new, changed Earth.

@@Koldyuki of course all participants in experiments should volunteer, yet scientists conducting drastic experiments such as this really shouldn’t pick people who have children. The experiment requires the participants to essentially abandon their families. They were never going to come back. With Interstellar at least they gave Cooper the false illusion he might make it back to his kids…

@@StandAsYouAre Additionally, it's easy to assume that the fact that the experiments were unethical, taking regular every day citizens with families would serve as cover as the government would be least likely to question them in comparison to if they were using let's say prisoners. I think its possible tho, that even thou they had no idea what the results would be, they did had some form of hope that if successful, the subjects would still retain some form of their humanity to indeed return home.

Well it is indeed cool for a kids to have a dad that go to other planet. He at least got some cool dad story to tell at school. But seeing they living in the luxury deserts, I don't think he even have school.

It might be helpful to avoid some kind of global catastrophe, by having a second group of humans somewhere. It's absolutely nonsensical in the sense of "running out of resources"

You'd think they'd have a colony on Theron or elsewhere mining resources, or asteriod capturing devices. At the very least learn to recycle or anying. how do people not understand the movie was about the experiment itself. The 13 people were test subjects to see if it would work. The ending is just showing that it worked. So now they would do this exact thing to everyone and those who survive would go to titan and those would the people tp reproduce. Not the original 13. The movie was about the trial and if it worked.

They didn't kill her according to the recap. They only shot her with sleeping pills. She's too valuable to be killed since she and the mc was the only ones to survive the final test.

That final scene of him flying over a lifeless ocean was great. Really made sure you'd realize that he has absolutely nothing to eat or do over there on Titan.

He doesnt need to eat if he can photosynthesize, absorb heat energy like deepsea animals at hydrothermal vents, or i dunno, absorb titans air thru his skin and metabolize it. actuall titan is VERY resource rich in the things are running out of aka it has HUNDREDS OF TIMES more natural gas and fuel then the entire earth you wouldnt to live there in mass but making dome citys and industry pumping the resources out and back to earth is the most logical thing to do in both the movie and real life.

@@XanderMarshall Bioengineering doesn't change who you are -- a mutation is something else. I think evolution -- a series of mutations that leads to something that changes a species ability to adapt to a certain environment -- would be too slow. Bioengineering would definitely change us, but I think we would still remain human. That said, if we continue to change the environment of the planet we're currently stuck on, then yes, there's a very good chance that humans will be wiped from the face of the earth. ON the other hand, if our destiny is the stars, then we're going to need to do a lot of work in the science of slowing down our metabolisms, and probably cryostasis in order for us to take those super long trips to other planets. As to your thing about Kryptonians -- no idea -- since I've never seen a sentient being from another planet I couldn't tell you but I would assume they would be similar and yet different from us in many ways.

I'm not familiar with your last person, but I can understand the advantages of Captain America -- you certainly can be frozen into cryostasis and survive, you're tougher, stronger, as well as can heal better. I think for more adverse conditions, Bloodshot would be pretty ideal as well -- as his body chemistry is different and more able to withstand catastrophic conditions. So who is the last guy you mentioned? And what makes him able to withstand the rigors of space travel better than the average human?
