When I first heard this song, my friend Steve and I were at Warped Tour '05 and didn't even know they were going to be playing. We were so excited to see them perform. They closed their set with this song, Aaron saying..."this is a new song thats gonna be on our next record". I think they had a few extra people playing harp and strings. I was so mind blown at the wave of ambience and emotion that this song put out there, after their set I went up to their tent and told how beautiful i thought that song sounded and can't wait for the record. Left me in awe. Great cover man. Steve passed away Feb '19 and this brought up great memories of him, so thanks!
Seth, I don't know what to say. Thanks so much for sharing about Steve. I'm always amazed at the unique ability music has to transport us back into the past. Glad this brought some fond memories to you.
This is probably how Aaron envisioned this song to be, he's admitted he's been more into folk than hardcore punk like how the band started. VERY good cover. Great job!
This is absolutely beautiful. Your voice fits so perfectly, and the slowed down tune is so creative. Have you covered any Foxing songs? Your voice could definitely replicate theirs as well
People say all kinds of things about the ingredients of songs. But you know they are a kind of magic, in the sense that they may easily include a stain on your bedroom wall... and a variety of mis-recollections. And then you name it after a girl's name that you just made up. - Tom Waits
