I am from the Siliguri the area famously known as chicken neck corridoor.There has been a long pending demand of separation from Bengal and making it a new state. I believe with this development of Bangladesh it is high time the Union government does it as there state government of West Bengal has been letting Bangladeshis enter illegally and giving them citizenships/land for the sake of their vote bank during elections. If the chicken neck area is made a new state or an UT it would be easier for the government to stop infiltration and also help in safe keeping of International borders and altogether safety of the country as this region shares border with 4 different countries which are Nepal,Bhutan,Bangladesh and the most important China.
