I’m so ecstatic to hear both Drew & Pili are trying out Baldur’s Gate 3, it will be all the more fun having someone to share the experience with-especially if you both make vastly different decisions throughout the game! Unfortunately, since the game is based on Dungeons & Dragons original tabletop role playing game, the turn-based combat is a core feature that can’t be avoided, but toggling the settings could definitely help with minor aspects like graphics, camera angles, and combat difficulty. For me it was also the first time not only diving into the vast Dungeons & Dragons setting, but also playing such a complex, turn-based combat game so it was a lot to absorb at first, but once you get more acquainted with everything it becomes so addicting! I look forward to hearing more tidbits about you both enjoying the game-anything you’re open to sharing about your experiences, lots of us would love to hear it~! 💖

I am 100% with Drew on the combat in BG3. I love the game, other than the combat. I don't like turn based combat at all, and it's literally why I couldn't finish Persona 5, even though I LOVED the game in general. I just set that bitch to the easiest difficulty to make the combat go as fast as physically possible(and it still takes forever). Also, usually the cut scenes are prerendered, so they are going to look better than the in-game graphics. You see it in games like the Witcher 3. Incredible, beautiful cut scene graphics, but it's literally just because it's a really well-made cartoon. That's why there's usually a difference in all games, it's just more noticeable in some over others.
Now that my boyfriend finished his first Baldur’s Gate run, we’re doing a run for me where I get to make all of the story decisions while he plays the actual combat. I get nauseousss from the birds eye view, and it’s good quality time too :) 6:41
In case as anyone hasn’t said, it’s really good as a solo game, but possible to play multiplayer. And you can have several saves/stories at once (well on pc atleast). And Drew… PC has a LOTTTTTT of mods… Pretty clothes, able to have everyone with you while you travel/fight, etc… Juuust saaayin’
If yall love movies on sisterhood, yall HAVE to see the color purple. The new one is fantastic and I was silently crying with my mouth open and coughing from crying so hard. 10/10
If your character has high enough charisma, there are tons of quests in BG3 where depending on what conversation response you pick, you can convince the bad guys to either not fight or just yoink themselves. My fiance (who was playing a bard) and I did a lot of that in our first playthrough because we wanted more time to see everything.
Drew, I love bg3 to death, and I play on the easiest difficulty possible. I recommend customizing your difficulty, I dropped the difficulty of all the fights to explorer, lowered the amount of food you need to rest, set my short rests to fully heal me, made it so I can see the difficulty of the roll, and set it so I can multiclass (put different levels into new classes, like 1 lvl cleric and 3 lvl barbarbian) I speed run the fights to get back to the story lol. Also, to be sucking and fucking everyone, you do have to settle with one person eventually, but 2 companions let you bring in a second guy (it's the same guy and the only option for poly) HAVE FUN!!!
Queen charlotte made me ugly cry and I kept watching the clips knowing I’d cry again. The help makes me cry no matter how many times I see it. Fried green tomatoes, beaches, all great for a good cry. Books- also fried green tomatoes, the great gatsby (the part with his dad made me inconsolable), the old Willis place, pretty much anything by Mary Downing Hahn. Sometimes you just need to cry.
That's one reason I haven't played baulder's yet, I am not a big fan of turn by turn based games. If I'm going to fight, i wanna throw hands immediately, not wait for 5 turns first lol.
I started Valhalla because of the last episode, it’s my first Assassin’s Creed game and ITS SO FUCKING GOOD. Definitely one of the best games I’ve played and I’m only like 6 hours in
My high school Spanish teach was a short white man from the US with one singular hoop earring, that got stabbed while living abroad once. Anyway, the day after i got my braces i came to class and this man called me train tracks. I was sick and felt ugly and in pain and literally cried and asked my mom to come pick me up. She and my dad met with the principal and they CHEWED that dude out. He apologized and never spoke to me again.
Drew fully gets it with BG3. I also want primarily story, but I’m also a D&D fan. Tip, some characters will let you be in an open relationship like Halsin.

You guys HAVE TO WATCH “Boy Swallows Universe.” Especially if you want to cry! It’s so good & the kid is such a good actor it’s crazy. I cried at least 5 times an episode. And spoiler alert- it’s a happy ending! So don’t worry 😂
Yeeeeessss girl got baldurs gate!!!! You are gonna love the looting in act 3 I'm the same, I don't like the fighting. I got mods where I'm so overpowered that the fights go so quick. (Party limit begone and double xp mod)
My boyfriend played Elden ring for a bit and it’s so the game has different story lines. Like every person you talk to changes your story line and like how you talk to them, nicely or negatively. It’s kinda freaking whack haha

I play sims similar to Drew but I spend atleast 3 hours on my girl. Have the husband cheat on his wife so I can get with the wife and then me and the husband fight everytime we see each other. 😊❤

Baldersgate is a Turn Base game girl. The story is the icing for the turn style fights. The games genre is turn base rpg. I recommend just watching the story on youtube lol
This doesn't just apply to Anyone But You, but I'm getting sick of the amount of sex scenes in movies and shows, I feel like I'm watching the scene in front of my parents and I'm 14 yrs old again. I honestly have to look up parent ratings for myself. I'm not sure if it's because I'm demisexual or that my brain starts imagining being the boom mic holder while filming the scene.
