@@ReyReY451i think he meant by the way she continuously praising his acting, but he is not accepting that he done it because of his talent, or anything about how he done it.. he continuously giving credit to everyone else..😊
Probably because his first film was a spectacular failure. Things like that stick to you. Some actors are narcissistic, other are insecure and a few are realistic. I like it that he is grounded. He knows that he has range limitations. Very self aware that way. If the story is bad, no actor currently can carry a movie.
I applaud him for giving due credits to the technicians in the movie. That's how it's done. It's not about the actor alone. It's a team effort. Unlike other actors who talk as if they have directed the movie.
Getting an academy award is still a huge task especially for regional films because to promote it costs a lot and it should reach a minimum number of judges. For that the movie has to be popular in the US too and have won many awards
Fahad Faasil gives me a Cillian Murphy vibe ❤ what an actor. Fun thought: Don't you guys think Thomas Shelby and Rangannaa have some common ground? They're both gang leaders with broken pasts that haunt them throughout the show. It's the presentation that distinguishes them
The man is so honest and humble. He's honest about his weaknesses (like not being comfortable speaking and not speaking to the point in interviews) while he's humble about his achievements (always giving more credit to his costars and technicians). Thank you Anupama for this rare interview of a unique talent!
Whatever Fahad said, After see his acting, we the audiences are bound to say there is no actor like Fahad Faasil in the whole indian sub continent right now. His acting is much superior than other actors. He re-defined the whole acting game and it is too difficult for other actors to reach his level.
Anupama Chopra should be the brand ambassador for Malayalam Cinema..... She has referred so many malayalam films to the non malayalees... ❤.... Love from a mallu..
I like that Fahadh is laid back in his approach. Nowadays audience has made him a status symbol. If you like Fahadh, you’re an intellectual. I’m glad Fahadh still got his dad’s humbleness
He is a national asset, one of the best actors we have. Apart from being a wonderful actor, he is also a grounded and gentle human being. Big fan of Fafa👌👌
Fahad is the numero uno greatest Indian Actor of this generation...true potential to be an International phenomenon..and proud that he is so down to earth and from Kerala❤️
"Is this the real Fahad Faasil or a glitch in the matrix? I've never seen an actor who's so different on and off the screen! His modesty is next level - 'Watch my movie and discuss it on your ride back later, because life is much beyond movies.' Classic! And let's talk about his attire - rocking branded stuff but opting for sandals, a simple shirt, and denims. Talk about keeping it real! No wonder an A-lister actor chickened out from the interview. Fahad's got that star power! As a Malayalee born in Mumbai, my love for Malayalam movies peaked with gems like Chappa Kurishu, Cycle, Kunjiramayanam, and Thattathin Marayathu. Fahad, you're truly a gem of an actor, ranging from serious to charming roles effortlessly!"
Bulgari Octo Finissimo watch, Cartier nail bangles, Tom Ford glasses,True Religion jeans, Moschinno sandals!! That’s Shanu for his attire on todays interview!!
The reason for not many heroines the last few films was told by Jithu madhavan(Aavesham director )that....""The story itself was not something in demand for a heroine and it's much respectful to not forcefit female cast into the film where they have no importance ...or else he could have easily added 3 or 4 heroines to ranga""
@@muraligutta432 no need to mention a particular location when u say ur from telugu.. Everyone understands where they are from.. Not asking and writing penta comments.
Unlike many actors, he is like the purest form of talent. Even though we see him on screen and only through him we appreciate his ability and work, he didn’t hold back and gave credits to each and every individual involved in a single shot of the frame. Starting from co-actors, cameramen, directors, helpers, etc. He is truly a hidden gem. My first Fafa movie was 22 Female Kottayam.
@@raja-jl9os Manoj Bajpayee is one of the best actors without any doubt. I mentioned Vijay Sethupathy in terms of his dressing. Mostly very casual. He is also one of the finest actors we have now.
I have been reading the comments and all the praise for his acting, modesty but where is the appreciation for him being too freaking cute. Dont know how to explain this but he is literally the cute guy next door you crush on as a teenager Remember Sidharthan from Indian pranayakatha His personality is just the cherry on top❤
here is my suggestions, you may have watched some of these maheshinte prathikaram north 24 kaatham njan prakashan pachuvum athbudha vilakkum kumblangi nights joji athiran varathan irul malayankunju
Fafa is the most modest person we've come across in the recent times. He underplays or brushes off due to his modesty but hes honestly the best actor who has blessed the indian cinema in recent times.
It's not that he is the best actor. It is his choices that make him the best. There are 100's of people who may do these characters better than him because are a billion plus people but they don't want to it.
He backs his choices with his talent. His choices are ofcourse great but other people could not pull it off. He brings something unique to every role he portrays. Anyways as a cinema lover I'm just glad he does what he does.
Absolutely no preparation for the interview. Just comes and speaks his mind as the question comes. What Nazriya told is also true. Sometimes the answer would revolve around and we should find it. Anupama mam, great interview. Not easy to make Fahad talk this much.
@@Chhjmmkg Absolutely wrong. Haven't made any comments on BR's video. Not only that. I saw that interview. I didn't like his start to the interview. I thought he made FAFA uncomfortable in the beginning. After the start everything was fine. But I am not sure if BR would get his interview again. Then what is the thing about Nazriya? What I said in the comment was told by FAFA in the interview.
It's really heartwarming to hear the kind of appreciations for Vicky, Rajkumaar, Ranbir from such a LEGEND like FaFa. Talents always recognise talents.
Oh my God!! I've been waiting forever for this interview. Fahadh allmost rarely gives interviews to even the Kerala media channels !!! He's very reserved. How did you even make this happen !! Just loved it. Thank you so much❤❤
Fahadh sir... you are not only a pan- India , but a pan-world star because art & talent have no boundaries especially nowadays with technology of dubbing , sub titles for those of us who don't speak your language (our loss because I'm sure some things are lost in translation) or any foreign language too but want to watch good cinema & performances ...and you are right up there with some of the best . Loved the fact you are not on social media , just focussed on work & living normally . And your humility, your passion , your talent & the fact that already you are thinking of giving back to the next generation of actors says a lot about you. Keep up the good work, we fans are always waiting for your performances .
It was 2013 when i 1st saw North 24 kaatham. Man, i still remember the feeling after watching that movie i was absolutely blown away by his acting. I was in Kerala for the 1st time for my best friend's brother marriage.. Also the south indian movies were not very common at that time so i had not watched any movie prior to that..... I didn't understand the language but thanks for my friend for his translations. And i still remember talking to my friend about the movie after days..... At that time only i knew he will be a great actor.. i makes me so glad to see his acting journey so far.. haha i often take pride in my north friends that i knew him before the south Indian cinema craze in north and before pushpa happened..😅😅
The man has come a loooong way. I remember watching his first movie and thinking, "what a waste of time". But boy has he evolved, it has been a fascinating journey watching him grow into this. Thank you for being humble throughout this, and not the fake humility pushed out by other "stars" in the South industry. You sir, are a true star in my eyes.
I don’t know how each and every one of them are so articulate, so humble, so well spoken and just come across as genuinely nice human beings besides being fabulous actors!!!!
The best is always saved for the end.. The closing moments are when FAFA said the Golden Words that "I love watching Kamal Haasan Sir on screen and its magical".. Kamal Sir always stated FAFa as one of hks favorite actor.. Its was truly magical watching both of them on screen.. FaFa is a World Class Actor and most worthy of taking Kamal Haasan Sir's legacy forward..
@@FilmCompanionStudios Anupama ji if u r trying to understand malayalam cinema through current generation of actors u will never understand it .This industry has been making great films for decades u should start by watching what the predecessors of malayalam cinema did who set the standard for malayalam cinema !! it has produced some world- class talents in the past .We dont hv that kind of talent anymore u knw what ?? they cud make the greatest of bollywood look like worms .It wud take alot of time 4 u to understand what I m saying .Do some research u will find gems !!
This was an interview of class, elegance and absolute brilliance. The questions asked were so intriguing and the way Fahad answered them was absolutely insightful. An interview should open up the hidden pages from the life of the person getting interviewed and Anupama just nailed this interview.
33:20 That ice cream poster of him and his wife was so glamorous it reminds me of my first time in kochi. Me and my boyfriend were driving around the city and seeing the posters all over the metro pillars and telling him how gorgeous they look, together.❤❤ Absolutely loved him in Avesham.😍 P.s I dont understand malayalam and I saw the movie in Shenoys in Kochi in the packed theatre without the subtitles, and my boyfriend translated it to me and i laughed my heart out. 😂
The wide and deep range for the characters he has, you expect that like many so-called character actors, he is going to be too pretentious or cringe vague-philosophical in his interviews [like recent few Film Campanion interviews]; but seeing him more down to earth and purely simple human being is marvellous. Extremely rare qualities that you find these days in actors.
Actually,I find him to be very pretentious in this interview..he is trying too hard to show that he is simple,he does not agree to the hero standards of Malayalam cinema ...he is trying to please like crazzy
@@nandhakishor103 I find his roles a bit repetitive......the urban guy,the psycho....he is just catering to the need of change ,the realistic new age roles that the ott audience wants to see...the so called intellectuals......
Fun interview. But I really want someone who has tracked his career from the start to interview him. He became a pan india actor after Kumbalangi, so the pan indian journalists ask him questions about the films which they have seen. This includes Vikram, Pushpa, Trance to name a few. And tbh these are good performances but not extradordinary. But people who have really followed his career, want him to answer questions about the first few years of his career. And he has produced some gems. Chaappa Kurishu, Diamond Necklace, 22 Female Kottayam, Annayum Rasoolum, North 24 katham and many more. An interview dissecting these films will be a treat to watch.
After answering for long when Fahad asks sorry I forgot the question was more hilarious than the Amban misfiring on the bridge in Avesham. Love you brother. You are awesome ❤
I watched aavesham twice in theater and gonna watch it again. FaFa and Jitu please make second part of aavesham with ambaan and ranga annan, I will watch it 3 times again. It’s the best characters in recent time❤❤❤
17:04 Vicky Kaushal, Rajkumar Rao, Ranveer. I can tell Fahadh is a much better actor. But great to see/hear him acknowledge others. How many others would do this? [in bollywood]
He is the Anthony Hopkins of Indian cinema period! Hands down one of the best character actors. I can never imagine any other actor playing the role that he has done. He has truly killed the borders of languages. Just love his movies though thru subtitles 😊 but a true fan
anupama can never have interesting or intelligent question for Bollywood actors and you know why !! be Vijay sethupathy, fahadh the sheer pleasure of listening to them and their process !! sheer genius
Education , Knowledge, Humbleness ,grounded, self awareness and acceptance - Fafa personified and Anupama Kudos for ur research before the chat . Time well spent watching this video.
How can he still stay so grounded! My pan India is my friends all over… what a line! Rarely one would see naming so many others actors and openly appreciating their works!
