Bravo IGN, 10 years late for that party, but better late than never.

Alien isolation is without a doubt one of the greatest horror games made, the AI is outstanding

“We don’t have that much power.” Uh. The average consumer that makes up a large portion of the gaming population use reviews to decide whether or not to pick up the game. So yeah you do. This game would’ve never hit my radar had it not been recommended to me by a friend.

So this is an absurdly long overdue apology lol

Kinda late for this. Over the years more and more people don't go by the score you guys gives to games anymore like they did in the past thankfully. Your opinions on titles doesn't matter to people as much as they once did and sure there's still a small percent that does but that amount has decreased massively because you guys ruined your own reputation in multiple ways. Now most gamers just meme on your reviews or simply watch it to see more clips of a game they're indecisive about or want to see more of.

Sound design in this game is perfect, waiting for the tram is the most horrifying thing I've experienced in this game. Truly a masterpiece

The fact that IGN needs to reference Kevin Vanord's equally terrible review to defend themselves is hilarious. The best Alien game of all times and one of the best in its genre, that both IGN and Gamespot were unable to acknowledge. Alien Isolation needs no defense. You need to deliver a ten year old apology.

Just don't destroy somebody's work. When they worked very hard. We know giving a game a number is not ideal but also understand,you can ask,sit down and realise. That's your job!!

Finished the game for the first time like 2-3weeks ago it was great

We still don’t have a proper Colonial Marines title. It would be incredible if a aaa studio gave us a proper aliens game.

Game was great and graphics are pretty good for an old game

The biggest logical error in the game is that instead of the space station from Aliens, they used the ore transporter from the first part as a template for the Sevastopol, which makes no sense at all.

You can’t play this like a game of hide and seek, like Outlast. It’s a survival horror game, using spare resources to construct tools to help you on the fly. The Alien is easily manipulated whether it’s sent into the vents or distracted by noise, even on the hard difficulty.

The fact that IGN has only one person to review a game is crazy.

Alien Isolation is an amazing game. The amount of tension it builds is great for a horror title

It's not divisive at all, it's generally well regarded and considered the best Alien game ever made, it's just IGN review is terrible.

Love this game. Glad that IGN kind of admits that it was better then the original review score that they gave it.

This game was far ahead of its time. It thought "out of the box", something reviews had to do as well.

The game can defend itself, it is amazing !

The xeno AI was truly ahead of it's time and was the best part of the game. But outside of that, the rest was pretty boring. Once the xeno shock factor wears off, you realize that what you're actually doing in the game - wandering around pressing buttons, levers, switches, fixing generators - is just tedious busywork meant to hold you over until the next xeno appearance.

IGN gives it a low score. So that why they didn't remastered the alien isolation. it all your fault IGN😢

y'all the reason why we don't have a new type of Alien Isolation game. Also, apart from you and Gamespot, everyone gave it a great score so idk why you guys are tryna save face acting like YOU weren't the problem.

Fooster, horror gamer, played Alien Isolation 3 months ago and it’s one of his most popular series. Absolutely an amazing horror game and I’m even debating buying it and going through the torrid journey.

So does this mean we can get a reexamination of Transformers One. Because you might wanna get ahead on that one

What is there to defend its objectively good...

The description is so backhanded, like they justreally dont want to admit their mistake. The game wasnt divisive. It was very well received by the general populace. Even those who aren't fans of Alien or horror. Only IGN had a problem with it

Defense what defense the game is the greatest Aliens game of all time released on ANY system, it hasn't been bettered for the past 10 YEARS! The game is a good as having a new alien movie and up until recently was better than the latest Alien film...(ie when Covenant was the latest Alien movie)

It’s a great game but I’ve never been so dissatisfied with a games ending before

It is still a game with boring gameplay mechanics and loops. It is mainly like a walking and hiding simulator. The only good thing it has are atmospheric environments in a style of Alien 1979.

Hope there is more people like this in IGN 👍

The Boltgun was straight from Alien: Out of the Shadows a book. which in turn was made into an Audio drama that is phenomenal. FYI

just imagine if they made a triple A rated M predator game that is similar to alien isolation in gameplay and the atmosphereric horror, that would be a game worth spending decent money on.

There are a lot of Alien games, but Isolation is the only one that caught my attention. Played it 7 times already. Masterpeace. It worth for sequel.

We get Horizon zero dawn remastered. There is no reason for a remastered that game it already gorgeous. But we can't get alien isolation remastered.. smh🙂‍↔️
