People see hazel as some unfeeling head game developer, but you can clearly see here that the dude is very clear and thorough and cares about the playerbase of the game
This gives so much hope for the future of Tanki Online! Before this interview, it felt like Tankis end is near, because all the events felt the same and maybe they just want to grab some money for as long as possible. This interview changed my whole perspective of TO, i see a very positive impact of stuff like this for the community. I would like to see more like this, maybe like all three Months a interview like this? Its a whole new motivation to not give up on that game after hearing this. Always feels good when developers dont lose touch with the community and also that the players can relate and understand whats going on with the game and the developers decisions.
I'm very happy to see that finally someone from EN community took interview fo developers and devs also start showing interest in EN community, I can't tell you how happy i am right now.....it was my dream to talk with devs and finally we did it....love you bro and thanks to complete my dream😂🤍
yo i have question about the different server thing does it mean our ping gets lowered to the origin ping? my ping used to be around 10-30 back then and now its 50
It's sad to say that Tanki will never be the same again. Prime Tanki was literally an entirely different game, so big that it's Esports was growing massively, with actualy LAN tournies. I really don't know why the devs just won't listen to the players...
True. Personally I believe it's a little to late to try to save face and say "well we have a lot in the works" years after the game has dwindled to its current state
And this developer was saying the game was bad back then. How disconnected from the player base can you be? They talk about bots like they're a good thing. If people liked the game they would play the game and you wouldn't need bots.
I stopped playing tanki around year 2018-2019. I came back once every year to check it out but status effects totally ruined everything. I left when m1,m2,m3 was a thing and unlocking higher level turret would change it and that was exciting. Back then xp/bp was popluar and even in match making that combo was great, people would tend to reply more on skills but now its who got crisis and the most overpowered augment, the idea of skill left the chat.
we appreciate his participate in this , but what we saw is that they dont try to fix the prblm directly, they just create a distraction for the problem like bots , grenades.... man miss Nives he was the only one listening to me
The passion is his tone as he talks about Tanki is so awesome to hear. To also hear that they're doing so well feels good man. Hazel is a pretty cool Developer. For all of Tanki's mistakes and my/our complaints it's clear to see our beloved game is in good hands. Godspeed Hazel.
Pliz just make the game skill based pliz if the gane will grow profit as much as u want from skins but until this game becomes skill based it wont inprove Valorant is fun becouse u can be with defoult skins and enjoy but in tanki u cant enjoy when some rich guy gets all the adventages
It’s a really good idea that you did an interview with him. One of the problem in Tanki in my opinion is that I feel like there is a world between players and developers, and the interview helped to feel more proximity with the devs. He wasn’t just the « Opex-Rah from the V-LOGs » with the really shorts answers, instead he was funny, more human I would say. I especially liked when he said that the Phoenix augments were bullsh*ts.
For the first time in a while something good is beinv told and the heartwarming nature of the dev gives me hopes for the upcoming tanki and makes me look forward to it
I was on live stream one thing I strongly disagree with Hazel is bots in matchmaking. For me its big NO I dont wanna play against bots and there are many reasons... First - its boring to kill robot... you dont have satisfaction of killing them, you dont compare with bots, there is no feeling of victory or some real feedback that you are good. When you kill very good player you are happy and proud and you know that you are getting better at game. Its mutual rivalry against players that force you to be better, against bots? Nah you just kill them because they are in a way to finish your objection (capture flag, score goal, control a point etc..) Second - it will create more chaos because imagine if instead of 10v10 players there will be like 4v4 and others will be bots. For pro player it will be easy to dominate the match, win it quickly not giving chance others it will create more frustration for weak players and of course he can pick specific protection against players because bots are still just bots. Battles will be unbalanced because the balacning factors are players. The more of them the better chance that there will be pro players at each side. For me bots are big NO
It's great that the development team has confidence in their abilities, but I don't have faith in them. They simply do not have enough people to solve the accumulated problems. In addition, the development priority is to add new dubious innovations and skins.
I feel like the phoenix augments fall so flat.. like maybe its just me but having to grind over 1k hours PER hull and PER turret is insane, and if you get bad lobbies/load time/crashing/queue time it could easily take 2-3k hours. also I always want to use multiple turrets and hulls and have already missed out on so much time worth of playing just cause I felt like using weapons before they were added to phoenix... I rarely spend even 1k hours on a single game, unless its a really really good game.. they could literally cut phoenix to 1 10th of what it is and it would still be hard to get motivated for, tanki is fun but if you are grinding for one single thing for 1k hours and getting practically nothing else besides some extent of crystals/stars past when you finish dailies and weeklies, even on events there is rarely motivation to play more than 1-2 hours if even that.. theres nothing to grind for besides phoenix late game but phoenix is unobtainable for anyone who doesn't LIVE on the game even if you spent 3 hours a day on the game it would still take an entire year to get one augment, getting every single one is impossible for anyone who ever goes outside
I think this is such an eye opening experience for everyone because I feel like we've never gotten this amount of level-headed talk from someone in the higher ups in this game, he really displayed a completely different view on the project and I think if anything I really was just overjoyed getting to understand a little bit of the hidden side of the game
It was a great video, theres a lot coming in tanki, but im sad that the didnt do anything to the shop prizes and the abbility to play on your iphone or mac
