Great videos. Going to submitting soon and have some questions. I see you have some autos along with the regular cards in same submission. Is there a special way to fill out the submission form to have both autographed and regular cards in same bulk submission? Also, with the estimated max values, what do they do when you have a card in bulk submission and it's worth more than the max $99? Thanks for the great vids man!
If the card was authenticated by the card manufacturers then you don’t have anything to worry about, PSA treats them the same way as a non auto. If you want the autographed graded then u have to submit it under the autograph grade service level. With max values, I would just submit all cards in bulk service and not worry about the max value. If psa has an issue with the value you put then they will contact you to pay more which has yet to ever happen to me. So you should be good to go with submitting all your cards in bulk submission. Unless of course it’s a 1952 Topps MICKEY Mantle lol. Thanks for the feedback! Good luck with the sub!
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR Thanks for the lighting quick response. And for also lowering my stress level haha. Keep up the great content and insightful views. Truly awesome!
hey. ive been following your vids and its awesome! thank you. but you might want to update this one...this is from psa and you can be steering people wrong. Step 4 When packaging your items for shipping, be sure to place the items in the same order as they are listed on your submission form(s). Items not received in proper order will be shipped back unprocessed at the owner’s expense. Also, please do not label individual cards by placing stickers or writing on the outside of the Card Savers.
Yeah PSA wants to save your card savers now and resell them. Just saw this on their page too. Glad I wasted my day buying, printing, and sticking labels on all my ridiculously expensive card savers.
Yeah, I have to create a new video. This is they way they used to say to do it, not more than a year ago. Not sure why they don't want the labels anymore.
Hey guys, in this video I show you how I submit a 50 card+ bulk order to PSA. Watch the entire video to see all the tips and tricks I have. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for watching!
Working on my first order and PSA says NOT to write or put label on card saver but I see you are doing that very confusing in the PSA video they also putting label on the cards
can I send the cards in card bricks holder like this it easy to open and safe for the cards www.aliexpress.com/item/4001049475724.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.3da24c4dQITgnv
Very informative just like the first, "How submit to PSA" I'm thinking of submitting for the first time, but I want to skip the single and just do bulk. I know you recommend to send a single submission first, but I understood this video and feel confident enough to send bulk. Of course, I'm not going to submit now because of what is going on in the world.
Great video Matt... I'm just so tired of PSA and all their little rules and quirks... if they want all this work done just getting a card ready for submission why don't they just let us grade our own cards and all they have to do is slab it! I would hate to have them do any extra work😉... PSA says if you do all this there will be a quicker turn around (yea right! ) with less errors (PLEASE!) ... With the overall high price they charge and the ridiculous time you must wait for your cards to be returned there should be ZERO ass kissing involved on our part!! How about PSA hire more people so they can keep up with the demand & we can get our submissions back in a timely fashion!! I'm all for being courteous, but their expectations of us is way more then the courtesy we receive from them!! PS: it's a complete joke marking your box with turn around time!! (Even though they require you to do so) 2 day turn around should definitely not be 4 weeks!! MAYBE try marking your box with "PWCC and see if your cards Get treated differently, (better grades/ quicker turn around) - Hey it's worth a shot!!🤤 Sorry I was so bitter in this comment, I'm just frustrated with all card grading services , mostly with PSA!! Thanks for the great videos brother!!
lol, I feel your pain! I'm tempted to do a rant video every now and then on PSA but haven't been able to bring myself to do it, yet. Don't worry, you're not the only one who gets frustrated. I hope PSA does something to fix their turnaround times because it is killing business for them. Both loyal customers and new ones! Thanks for sharing and the feedback!
PSA LATEST SUB RULES STATES ON UPDATE: THE STEP 2 ON THE HOW TO GUIDE FOR SUBMITTING CARDS THAT YOU SHOULD NOT PLACE LABELS, STICKERS, OR WRITE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE CARD SAVERS.
Earnest Productions yea so they want you to arrange the submission in the Same order as the online submission form you filled out and entered the cards in thus eliminating previous requirements of labeling your submission, one step less making it easier in my opinion
Putting Youon wonder if the post its would be a good idea. I mean it couldn’t hurt but I guess if you read your are not supposed to have anything attached to the penny sleeves than I guess one shouldn’t.
Earnest Productions yea it’s best to follow the new 2020 submission rules they mention might cause delays and they do mention this : Items not submitted in order will not be entered in to processing and will instead be shipped back to you at your expense. Note: Do not place labels, stickers, or write on the outside of Card Savers. If an item arrives with a manufacturer’s seal/sticker, be advised that PSA will remove it for processing purposes.
Earnest Productions I also did hear they cut the side of the card savers with scissor instead of taking them out manually so that would eliminate the post it note theory not sure just a thought
Hey Psa Collector, big fan. I was wondering after shipping in your cards when do they charge you? Is it immediately after they receive it or is it before grading your cards?
I heard they cut the side of the card savers with scissor instead of taking them out manually so that would eliminate the post it note theory not sure just a thought
Quick question, let's say I have 75 cards for submission. I'm assuming I would list them as a bulk (50 card minimum submission) and it would cost me $750.00 to have them graded? Am I understanding that correctly?
It appears so, plus, you would need to be a Silver level(I think that was $50), and pay for shipping cards there, AND back. So $750 + $50 + shipping there and back. So $850`ish for 75 cards? But if you had 75 cards at $10 a card, you would be better off getting 100 at $8 a card, so an extra 50 cards would only cost you an extra $50, a buck a card for the extra 50 cards.
Nice touch with the sticky posted note on the penny sleeve. I did hear that PSA cuts the card saver with a laser for removal. So I'm not sure if that's true, or if they actually pull the card out by hand from the card saver.
Is this video still relevant? Or have they changed it. Because ive seen your other most recent submission video as well. I've learned alot of stuff from your video's, I appreciate this! 🙏
Thanks for the video! Do you think it would be worth it to also place the cards inside a plastic bag to protect them from any water that might find its way into the box during transit? In other words, follow all the steps outlined in the video, and after rubberbanding the card savers in between cardboard, put them in something water resistant?
I have the pinnacle set of THE NATURALS 25 players with outstanding ability. Do you know if they are in demand and what it might be worth? I have been watching your videos and i have alot of cards and am trying to learn more about them. Thank you and keep them coming!
That's a very cool foil set, however, if not in a PSA 10 gem mint case, the value isn't very high. If they are in near perfect condition you could send the Frank Thomas, Ken Griffey Jr, Cal Ripken, etc off for grading to improve the value. 👍
Matt have you tried or figured out any new ways to see if there’s labeling and sorting a faster and easier way for PSA to go through and send you back your submissions? I’m gonna try it this way like in your video once I get all my cards sleeved up that I want to send with the savers.
PSA's turnaround times seem to get longer and longer 😒I've just come to terms with the fact that I have to wait forever and keep making submissions. The only way to increase the turnaround time is to pay more.
i scrolled to see if my question was asked already, but didn't see it. now, i know you said that we should have the cards listed in categories by teams, era, etc. but what about genre? what if i wanted to send 15 pokemon cards, 3 hockey cards, 25 basketball cards, 17 football cards, 9 magic cards, and 2 baseball cards? (this isn't what i actually want to send, just an example). is that possible? or must the cards all be the same size regardless of sport/genre? sorry if you've answered this question before, and i have gone on PSA's website, but i literally just started gaining info, so please have mercy! :)
Thank you for sharing this. Can you submit autos using bulk submission? Or does it have to be done using a different service? Also, for autos which of the 3 or 4 methods should you use?
Great video! Can you include die cuts, autos, and very thick game-used cards in bulk submissions? If so, is there an extra charge? Thanks for the help! You’re awesome.
Great idea on the post-it notes. Love that tip. Hey, people are human. When you scratch their back, they’ll scratch yours most definitely!! Just curious, I assume you don’t get you card savers back when they send the cards back to you?
Thankyou for the video. One question for anyone : i have seen sleeves you can buy to put the card saver 1 's in. Do you think those would be a good idea when submitting or would that be too much hassle for the person grading the cards? Thanks
When you’re filling out the estimated value of each card, if you put the maximum amount for the shipping group, does it increase the cost of shipping PSA charges you?
Nope, max declared value only effects the submission level cost. So if it's above $99 then you're not supposed to use the bulk service which generally most guys use the bulk service for cards valued up to around $500 ish. Any further and PSA might contact to pay more money for insurance. The only thing that effects the cost of shipping is how many cards your submitting.
So...question. you didn't go over the declared value in bulk orders...say all 100 of my cards are worth at least 200-500 each? Should I get Platinum or gold membership for this bulk order or will silver suffice? The declared value in a 100 bulk order is a concern because I'm sending in 100 rookie auto cards...also if just ONE of the cards I want not only graded and auto authentication..will a bulk order let me edit that under the list? Or is it "straight 100 graded and/or authentication"? Thank you. And card savers are pricey! They can't send those back to you? Sheesh
Love your videos! Used your first ones to submit a couple cards now using this one to submit bulk! One question though: when shipping wouldn’t it be cheaper to just us Priority Mail instead of Flat Rate? That medium flat rate box is $15 but if you do priority then it goes by weight so it might come out to like $7-$8. Either way, do you purchase additional insurance at the Post Office?
Hey Matt I have my first sub together just wanted to know where do I put the little shipping label that you print on the box and what is the turnaround time on a regular submission?
God i wish people would listen about the scotch tape. buying from eBay if there is any scotch anywhere inside the package its a pain in the ass.especially on toploaders.
Is gold membership worth it? I have several cards I want graded but not sure the value. Any tips on best way to find value? Also what if there higher than the $499 limit for the membership? Thanks love the video tips!
Matt,GREAT VIDEO!! Because of cost, I'm not sure how to determine if I should get a card GRADED. I have a collection of T206 most in very good shape with good corners, etc. It was given to me in 1975 by my grandfather. I absolutely don't know how to judge the value. Maybe all 53 cards should be placed in the holders?? Any thoughts would be appreciated. I've sold aJennings and Keeler and others on ebay for $40+ without being graded. Thanks, Keith
I would most definitely get those T206's at bear minimum slabbed and authenticated by PSA or SGC. Those cards are historical and will always have value. 👍
Loved the vid and has already made the process so much less stressful and intimidating. I do however have a question about the mailing labels. Does the information HAVE to be printed on, or can I just write the information down? Thanks in advance!
Hey, Chris, thanks for the feedback! You can write the labels or print them. Whichever is easier for you. You don’t technically have to do it but PSA said that it helps with turnaround times which I’m not sure anymore if it does lol. Still waiting on my submission to come back! Hope this helps👍
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR Another question as I'm nearing the end of this process. If a card I have does not show up in the item entry bar, what do I do? I have a crazy lamar die cut variation, but only the regular die cuts are showing up.
I just labeled all my card savers with the Avery labels that you suggest and then I read this on the PSA website: "Note: Do not place labels, stickers, or write on the outside of each Card Saver." I already rubber banded them up with the cardboard and everything, but I'm thinking I should take them all out and remove the labels now? Do you still submit cards like this? Do they not care?
They used to say to add the labels for a better turnaround but now they changed it. I don’t think it matters. I would just submit it. I need to make an updated video.
What about insurance to ship to PSA from Canada? How much do you insure your shipment for? Fedex has declared value avaluable but its not actual insurance.. I'm concerned about if it gets lost or damaged
Yep, when you sign up and pay for a silver or platinum membership you get vouchers with your purchase. I went ahead and shipped the vouchers with the bulk order. They are on separate orders, you do not want to use the vouchers with your bulk order. I believe they must be separate orders. PSA will ship them back to you much sooner than your bulk submission. Which you do have to pay the shipping on.
I just submitted a bulk order of 110+ cards with labels on them (it's my first sub and didn't realize there were new guidelines since this video). Does anyone have any idea what is going to happen? Are they going to send my order back? Will they take off 116 labels (and then give me a bunch of annoyed grades?)
Quick Question! Do you still suggest/Do the label on the front of the Card saver, and the sticky note tab? Im reading the guidelines PSA has posted and they specifically say "Do Not Place Labels, Sticker, or write on the outside of the Card Saver" just wondering what your experience has been and if you still do this. Thanks!
Hey Ryan, I would go ahead and just follow the instructions PSA states on their website. I no longer use labels or any sticky notes like they've stated to do in the past. Things are constantly updating.
PSA collector, hi, what do you go by when you submit as far as price book value? Because there’s the gold you get 6 submissions over 500$ but I have a lot of cards like Kobe refractors, Jordan metal shredders, Kobe fleer 1996 metal, in other words what determines the value of the card before you submit plmk, thanks
Awesome video, and appreciate the help! I just prepared my first 2 orders, a voucher and a special, seems they now have a new form where you can type in the number of orders and cards. So just wanted to clarify, do I still need to sign the first page, or only the last page of the forms? PS. My form has 3 pages, cause I have 41 lines, so guessing I don’t need to sign the second page in all cases. Thanks!
Oh wow, that must be new! I'll look into that. You just have to sign on the back of the first page I believe. Wherever it says to sign. If you want to be safe you can go ahead and sign all three copies lol, Thanks for the feedback, glad I could help!
For the standard size cards use the CArd Saver 1’s I have them linked in the description of this video I believe. For the thick cards use whatever you want whether it be a top loader or a mag loader. 👍
Does it matter if you use card savers 1 and 2 or just card savers 1 or just card savers 2. The card savers one are thicker but shorter and I noticed that everyone uses card savers 2 Wich are the less thick ones but much bigger longer then the small ones does it matter what you use or do you have to use the less thick ones but longer bigger ones. Let me know please and Ty just a beginner :)
Love your videos man. I have a quick question about doing a bulk submission. I have several people jumping in with my sub and we have multiple duplicates. How can I assure that each person will get their exact card back? Thanks brother 🤙
You have to submit them in different orders otherwise they will come back in random order. Best bet is to make a few different 50 cards orders and separate the duplicates.
No need to do different orders for bulk submissions with multiple duplicates and keeping them separate. I do bulk order submissions with 5 different people on one order and occasionally the same card is submitted by multiple people. The trick is to make separate stacks of each persons cards, then when inputting the order online go in order like this: Customer 1 - 25 cards (including one of the duplicates) Customer 2 - 50 cards Customer 3 - 30 cards (including one duplicate) Customer 4 - 40 cards (including one duplicate) In this example, 3 people are submitting duplicates of the same card. The way to keep them separate is the order list line numbers, as the form will show the Line # of each one of the duplicates in the order. When you get the bulk order back from PSA they include a packing slip, which contains the Line # of every card plus the Serial Number on the graded label. It’s pretty easy to match up the Line # with the Serial # for each customers cards, as the packing slip is in the same order as the Submission form.
Thanks Matt! I have recently pulled out 581 baseball cards that I believe to have some value and placed each one in a new card saver 1. Now I have them organized by year and by potential value. What would be my best strategy for submission value wise, as someone who has not done this before? I don’t want to jump the gun and end up wasting time and money. Thanks in advance for your advice -Mike
I would start off by sending the most valuable ones first and only the ones that look like they're in gem mint condition. You want to be able to sell these for at least $20 a piece in order to make any decent return on investment. Check eBay and see what the cards are selling for in mint 9 cases because the chances of getting all gem mint's is very low. You'll be lucky to get 5 -10 out of 100 cards submitted. Unless they were all pack fresh then obviously that number will increase. SO, just send the best of the best that sell for atleast $20-$30 in mint 9 cases.
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR In your experience, after bulk submitting, what can you expect apart from a few gem mints (if one did send in cards in good condition)? If you send only cards you feel are in great shape, will the majority be 9's? Or can there also be much lower graded results on a lot of them? I am asking because for some, including me, we simply check out the front/back surface and corners. The magnifier you are using is pretty pricey to add on top of the other expenses for the whole grading process. I do see its great usefulness though!
@@NAATMNA I am very happy with the grades I get from PSA. It takes practice to know what to look for. Grading cards is not a cheap hobby, it's an investment of both time and money. If you don't have much money then start out small with very low expectations. It's a gamble with both high and low rewards. You have to submit the right cards that will actually sell not random cards. There is a lot of strategy that involves lots or research, good timing and a little bit of luck. If you're succesful at it you can make significant money.
@@GRADEDCARDINVESTOR Thank you for the response. Are the best research tools ones like the psa pop report, ebay sold items, etc.? Are there any other free tools that can help in researching a card's value that you highly recommend? Thank you again! Enjoy the videos for learning purposes.
