I said in the video but many asked so I'm pinning this: Kinich's Normal Attacks are considered Elemental Skill Damage. This means that Xingqiu/Yelan/Thoma/etc bursts can be activated by his attacks but Normal Attack DMG buffs will not work on him. Thoma C6 will not buff them. This is similar to Raiden and other characters. The Cannon is just a Skill that does Skill dmg. @@SevenPls interesting. It's one of those cases where it's "normal attack" animation but not actually normal attack like Raiden burst - so I'm guessing he wouldn't trigger Beidou coordinated attacks either then
Great analysis. One thing I appreciate is the four piece passive of the Obsidian being cleared out. Its true that every cannons will crit, the first one counted because the nightsoul is already consumed before it even hits the enemy but there are a lot of people out there who is in doubt and confused that the first cannon might not obtain the 4pc effect.
@@XxXxjuan13xXxX Same as her Emblem stats. You want to have at least 200% ER on Xiangling so her burst is useable often so... Try Atk% sands, pyro dmg bonus goblet, and crit rate/dmg circlet (depending on her crit ratio) Energy Recharge is more important than crit rate tho, so if you need to, put a ER% sands on her instead and you're good to go :3 the main stat is always more important than sub stats if you don't have a lot of deepwood pieces yet
I love your explanations and agree that last team should come with a disclaimer, because some other players didn't mention the multiwave conditions lol. I wonder why genshin refuses to give us any Bennett alternative for general use, Kinich seems like he wants to be freed from circle restrictions...
Well, supposedly the Bennett alternative would be Mavuika , especially considering that the two current Naltan dpses want offield pyro application and another Naltan character for their passives, it's a perfect fit, I'd be really surprised if Hoyoverse doesn't go for the kill there so to say

I must admit that at first I thought Bennett was probably impossible to play with Kinich but in practice it doesn't feel that bad, and even if you don't have full uptime it's decent and you realistically only need it for the Cannons. We will see what the Pyro Archon ends up doing but all I see in 5.0 is 2 characters with awkward Pyro off-fielders and that's very sus lol
@@ClownDollThatHasContemptForYou Mavuika would sooner replace the off-field pyro slot even if she doesn't snapshot. She could only replace Bennett if she had no off-field Pyro which is crazy unlikely.
@@lonely_dolphin8923 my thought is that she'll be both a support and an offield pyro applier. It plays into how her character is currently in Naltan and also into what the game requires currently. On one hand you have the fact that we have a tribe of each element except for pyro , partly because it's the archon's element and because each tribe is already pyro plus another element (this is especially apparent in saurians actually, like how the hydro saurians can swim through lava as well). Pair that with what archons usually do, which is enable their region's mechanics , especially with the characters from said region (venti and Zhongli,and Ei to a certain extent don't count cuz I don't think Genshin quite figured itself out until Nahida archon wise)and the increasing need for a pyro offield character that works with Naltan characters and you have the perfect opportunity to really sell a character to fill this vacancy. I guess it could also end up not happening though,but I'd be really surprised, we're not gonna get reliable leaks until 5.2 anyway,so we wait and see.

I was thinking about getting Muamualani C1 but I changed my mind. He's awesome. Never tried Burgeon before but pulling him to play it. I ain't using Bennett with him.
Can't wait for your next Kinich video. This analysis is so good. Too bad we really need new pyro unit that can better work with him, it's a worse situation for male only collectors. Might even need to wait a year or two.... or longer.
XQ/Thoma/Bennet is also a good team. If you're only getting guys you should at least have enough for C2 R1 Kinich as well so dmg shouldn't be an issue. I have enough and I still get some female characters.
Kinnich kit make him like megaman. You swith teammates and boom, different power up. Ultimate Kinnich : Oppa, Bennet and Emilie Missiles Kinnich : Xingqui/Yelan, EM raiden and Nahida Blast Kinnich : Thoma, Xingqui and Emilie/Nahida 😂😂😂

I think you're the only out there with access to kinich that has pointed out that he can use the Flamegranates like the Yumkusaur (like seriously any other RU-vidr or leaker that I've seen never mentioned anything about it)
I discovered that by accident though haha but I think we can assume any representative (?) of a Tribe will literally mimic the Saurian skill set. Which means we are getting a character that can fly in the future..
I think thoma is good with Kinich if we play them in burgeon because of Thoma’s slow pyro. In burning, he’s ok. Thoma still buffs NA so Kinich does benefit from it as the lead up to the big skill dmg.
Have you tested Kinich with Furina, Dehya and Bennet? How was it? Is Furina's hydro application slow enough for triggering burning frequently enough for Kinich using dehya and bennet? (My mualani NEEDS my xiangling right now and switching xiangling's artifacts to deepwood every time is too much work...)
Well you'd be triggering both burning and burgeon,both of which work with Kinich's passive, you might want to consider a healer though, Bennett isn't great at keeping up with Furina's hp drain. With Furina I think the best team for Kinich would be Kinich Baizhu Furina and an offield pyro (Thoma or Dehya), but you probably don't have him or maybe need him in another team. Basically this team works but it'll end up a little clunky just cuz of how Bennett's healing works.
@@ClownDollThatHasContemptForYou nah bennett is defo fine if you build him as a full healer and swap into furina heal mode at the start of the rotation. his buff is so huge that replacing him with baizhu is a huge dps loss
Hm yeah I tried in abyss just now, with furina, dehya, bennett and alhaitham as a replacement for kinich. They were on the verge of death every now and then but I don't mind that as much. Alhaitham actively helped keeping the burning / pyro aura on, so I think it might be good a enough team until pyro archon (or maybe pyro MC? :p) .. I have baizhu too, but then a burgeon team with thoma EM built might be best.
His damage is Elemental Skill but the "motion" is considered Normal Attack. Kind of like Raiden activating Yelan/XQ but she still oinly does Burst damage.
@@SevenPls Thoma is on the banner so most will hopefully have C1 at least, and triggering it should be especially easy with Burning/Burgeon self-damage.
@@zencigaming The damage type is considered as Elemental skill "damage". But the motion for his loop shot is NA motion. He can trigger Thoma's burst because you only need to do the NA motion and he can do that through his loop shot, but Thoma C6 only boost Normal, Charge and Plunging "damage" which Kinich won't benefit cause both his cannon and loop shot is considered as elemental skill "damage" as i said earlier
Someone already answered but yeah Kazuha only buffs Xiangling there. Additionally Kazuha also groups enemies and since Kinich does have some AoE on his attacks that can also be useful. I would avoid him against 1-2 enemies scenarios though, no grouping and just buffing Xiangling is not that great
Your statement, "but the synergy pretty much ends there", regarding Emily, is false. 1) Battery 2) Reactions Like Xiao, he takes a lot of time on-field. Faruzan provides Xiao much needed particles from off-field to have him burst every rotation. Kinich is the same. You want to burst every rotation on Kinich for the E duration increase and that additional Cannon Shot it provides. Kinich's burst exists not for the damage, or the small AoE it provides - it exists for the consistent burning reactions during his E mini-game. Keeping up burning on the enemy is essential for the consistency of Cannon shots. The same advantage applies on using Emily. Please view the following as constructive criticism only: I would have liked to see more time of the video dedicated to Exploration. Your guide covers the same topics other content creators cover. The reason you are successful to me is, you having filled a nieche with your tech videos. I would have liked to see him compared with Cloud Retainer, Yelan, Wanderer etc. inside and outside of Natlan. What about the tech regarding using the Normal Attack after the Grappling hook? Do I want to use it, do I skip the mid-air NA? I believe you did not play to your strengths in this one.
"but the synergy pretty much ends there" is definitely arguable because they work very well together but to answer your points: 1) Xiao is a character that cannot play without energy and Burst. Kinich can and will work just fine even using his Burst every 2 rotations. 2) Burn can be kept on the enemy without his Burst or without Emilie. It obviously depends on the exact scenario and how many characters we are talking about but Emilie is mostly single target and the Burst shoots in a straight line so arguably those also depend on the exact scenario. I don't usually focus much on exploration but a 7 tips video will have every niche detail I find! I tried to already go very in-depth with this video but I still had limited time to play and test him. Once he's released and on my account and I can play him 24/7 (and everyone else) more techs and details will surely come out. P.s. I don't think the extra mid-air NA does anything relevant if not mimic the Saurian and activate the platforms, but again that's exploration.
I just need to say, but his animation for joining the party lowkey sucks. It shouldve been like scaras, having him grapple in with his e, hit the superhero pose when landing, then brush it off like nothing happened.
