I think this is the most beautiful car in the auto history! Every single design is prefect, particularly a straight wedge line all the way from the front to back, and a location of the filler cap.

It is definitely one of the most beautiful cars ever made in pictures or videos don’t really do it justice I tried to capture all the angles of it because when you’re there in front of it, it’s totally different...

Love the 1967 Corvettes! I've own one for 36 years. She's a 427/400 conv. Lots of options too. Here's the breakdown of the 427's available for 1967 L-36 - single 4bbl 390hp L- 68 tri-power 400hp L - 71 tri-power 435hp L - 89 tri-power 435hp Alum. heads Only 16 L-89's built L- 88 single 4 bbl 430hp Only 20 L- 88's built When he's showing the dash on the Yellow coupe. You can see a small knob in the tach, and a white needle in the gauge. That's the "speed minder" option. You set that white needle to a mph, and if you exceed that set speed, a buzzer will sound within the dash. Kind of an annoying little option, unless it saves you from a known hwy speed trap area ! Oh yeah...someone opened up that hood scoop too. They aren't functional like that from the factory on any 427. Actually, the L - 88 option on the 427 gives you a functional air induction hood. But it pulls the air in from the back of the hood at the base of the windshield. Cheers

@@What.its.like. Great job on your videos I have a request 🙂 An early Trans am, from 1970 - 1973 I know it's going to be hard to find one, so I'll settle for any year up to 1979. But maybe just talk about the earlier years during that cars explanation. Thanks in advance ☺️

Corvettes used that headlight switch so you can "open" the headlights to work on them without them being on. Also, you're right... that ignition key is not original, it's a later style key. The "clover" key is correct for the door locks, but the original ignition key would have been the hexagon key that was used on all chevy's in the '60s.

Great review Jay. That's 100% pure Americana right there. And also probably every red blooded American teenage boys dream car.

430 hp 427 (l88) was not tripower. one 4 bbl
@livewire2759
@livewire2759 Год назад
Yeah, the two tripower options were 400 hp and 435 hp... that must've been a typo in the video.

That car has to be worth $150,000, MINIMUM. I love the C2 Corvettes, as does everyone, hence the high present day value of these cars. This one being an all original "survivor" car boosts it's value above restomods and restored originals.

Don't think the 430 hp was a tripower setup. just a 4 barrel.
@livewire2759
@livewire2759 Год назад
There's some typos, or just incorrect info in that engine chart.... The 327s were the base 300hp, and the 350hp, which are correct The 390hp 427 had a Q-Jet carb... The 400hp and 435hp 427s were the two Tripower engines (3 Holley 2bbl) The 430hp 427 was the L88 which had one Holley 4bbl Also, the "Stinger" hood scoops were not functional from the factory, someone cut that one out for some reason. Only the L88 cars got functional hood scoops, but even those were closed in the front, they got air through the back for "cowl induction".

Possible typos we will definitely cover this car again in the future..

Never lift a Corvette hood by the edge of the hood! Always lift in the middle of the hood. I've seen many Vettes with the hood edge on the driver's side bent upwards because owners/mechanics lifted the hood over and over again at the near edge. The fiberglas will eventually "bend" and take a set.

They were on the L88 cars... but from the back (cowl) instead of the front. I'm sure you're aware of that, but I wanted to clarify for others... Someone clearly cut this one out and/or removed the black trim from it to open it up.
