In this video, I do an in-depth first impressions review of the Kaja Beauty Cheeky Stamp in the shade SAUCY. The overall aesthetics of the brand caught my eye because of its cute packaging and fun colors. And the cheeky stamp hearts (applicator) reminded me of one of my favorite artists Fafi and her Les Fafinettes characters who sport hearts on their cheeks:-)

i have a similar skin tone to you, im just more neutral toned as opposed to your olive/golden undertone. which shade do u suggest?

Hello! Great question! I would go with this shade Saucy. The hue Coy was too mellow for my (and possibly yours as well) skin tone. This shade (Saucy) pops out and has a very natural finish:-)

Hi! A cute video. On the topic of cruelty free, since I have transitioned to green beauty I am puzzled by the presence of carmine in so many products. There are many so called green lines that claim to be cruelty free yet they include crushed insects. Any thoughts on this? I understand that it's two different things but I'm baffled by it.

Hey Deborah! You are the best:-) Such a great question! I was just talking about this with a girl friend of mine. It's crazy because since it's a coloring agent, it's in our food as well, ex: juice, yogurt, and candy. I know it was used during the middle ages until the 19th century to make red dye. You would think with the evolution of technology and makeup in general there would be more opportunities to be creative with a lot more natural/sustainable pigments that are truly across the board cruelty free. I am on your side though...why use crushed bugs? Especially, if they claim to be "Green". Carmine is a serious irritant for some. It's definitely not safe for everyone. Unfortunately, with branding and businesses trying to push for profit with popular buzz words such as Vegan, Clean, Sustainable, etc.it gets messy BUT I will look for carmine in products for now on. I love learning about all this stuff!

@@FiveFiftyFive I keep kosher, so carmine is not allowed in our food. But it freaks me out in my makeup. 😛 It's really hard to find a nice eye shadow palette without it.

@@deborahselincourt8060 I'll be on the look out! I agree. It's really sketchy what companies put in food and makeup. I do my best to cook at home and indulge when it's date night or a special occasion. You never know what they are putting in your food (or prep cleanliness) even at restaurants:-( It's so lame. But Kosher is the absolute way to go!:-)
