I have just purchased this unit. I am a little confused as to how the Energy-Saving Timer works. I would like it to go off every night at the same time and back on at the same time in the morning. Is this possible with this function? Thank you so much for your time :)
A couple of questions - So reboil brings it up to boil then down to the temp indicated? Why do this? This only degasses the water, a process known to diminish somewhat the taste of brewed liquids such as tea. And . . . Can I get any other temps? 180? etc. Is there a custom mode or am I stuck with 208, 195, etc. Regards, . . .
Your understanding of the Reboil is correct. Really it's for if you add additional water to the kettle. There are no other temp options unfortunately, you are limited to their 4 temperature settings. No custom temp setting available.
Thank you so much for your prompt reply! Custom temp would be nice. Reboil makes no sense!! We have an older model and that is the only option. There is no economy mode. So if I turn the thing on and want 140 deg water, I must watch it and let it get to 150 then unplug it and then plug it back in and then quickly switch temp select to 140 degrees so it won't boil the water. What a pain! What were they thinking?
