I DO NOT understand WHY it’s so hard to grasp an adult man who transitioned WELL AFTER puberty has the upper hand when competing in any sport against bio women !?!?! You tell me that’s not “unfair”?!?! She said by making things fair and giving us our own league it’s excluding another group, having their own category is literally the closest to fair for all parties involved.

FINA made a courageous and the right decision for women's sports.

No debate needed, the cheats have been called out. Now do the same for the cyclists, MMA fighters and weightlifters and return all titles to those who deserve them.

The science absolutely stacks up, I have read high quality research. Unfortunately transgender activists, using cancel culture, try to prevent quality research, and to suppress research that doesn't support their viewpoint. All women should not be marginalized in their own sport.

So if CURRENT testosterone levels is the only thing that matters, why aren’t transmen competitive in men’s sports? Because male puberty confers a huge strength advantage, that’s why. I was listening to Hannah Mouncey before I saw her name. That voice alone tells me she went through male puberty and should compete in an Open category. Protect women’s sport.

Cate Campbell is being %100 honest with the fact this is based on science. I am truly glad that she was honest while still being kind and sensitive. Swimming competition are hard and the training wemon have to go through is intense.. I've been there, I was training with a professional coach in my swim squad at one point to try to get to the commonwealth games.

This was a great decision... To have 'male', 'female' and 'open' category for competing is very fair.

Feelings and Reality are two different things, you can feel whatever you like, but you can t change Reality. There have been runners on the high school level who have been breaking a lot of records which affects college scholarships and morale. These girls are being blown away. I'm wondering if that ruler will trickle down. Don't understand how anyone can say that it's not fair. They are ignoring the other things like bone structure, lung capacity, etc. It amazes me how people ignore that.

Literally thank God someone said it. I hate no hate against transgender people, I have trans friends whom I openly support- but this decision was logical. Trans women still carry large assets of their biological bodies. Their bodies are stronger and more physically advantaged than a biological woman’s. Tbh I feel like they should just make a Trans Woman Swimming team if they wanna be fair. Put the ladies in a team of other ladies who are in the same physical advantage.

about the open category: have a look at the Paralympics and how many categories they have. people with 1 leg amputated will not complete against people with 2 legs amputated for example. and these many categories still have a lot of competition. so an open category, or MtoF and FtoM and maybe other additionally shouldn't be a problem.

I think a lot of people these days conflate "marginalized" with "minority". Not all minority groups are marginalized and vise versa. Billionaires are a minority, would you call them marginalized? As for trans community, they managed to change laws and language in such a short period of time. Managed to label anyone questioning logically about children transition, sports advantage, women's safety etc as " transphobe". They might be a minority but not marginalized. Only after backlash and scientific research on advantages of male puberty( which could have been done using common sense) these orgs are taking measures.

This decision is a first step in putting the focus back on themselves instead of making women pay for their unresolved issues.

7:15 This person thinks that the ruling is unfair... number 6 thinks that. and note that number 6 is only 6'2", which is the average (which includes the smallest positions) in men's rugby. look at number 6, who disagrees with the ruling. 7:23 .. look at number 6, even relative to their biggest other person, number 8... and not just the height... look at the broadness... NO, we're not going to tell trans people they can only play sports they're not good at... we're going to make an additional league for them... because that's the fairest solution (though the financial and personnel cost relative to the effect it will have is questionable).

If you look up his placement swimming with male athletes he wasn’t ranked in the top group and never won a meet, he transitioned to a female a now is ranked one of the top in the division and also setted records… let’s be realistic

open category means a bunch of men transitioned to women will be in that category.. lets be honest.. you will never see a woman transitioned to a man beat a man transitioned to a woman in the same sport.. especially in swimming.. the spread is so far apart.. even a college man transitioned to a woman has better times than a olympic category women.

How is it possible that a 6ft 4 person who went through male puberty does not have a physiological advantage?? Trans represent less than 1% if the population and their rights don't take precedence over others, including the 50% of the population that includes the rights of biological women. This isn't about transphobia. This is about fairness and protecting women's sports.

Hopefully this new policy for swimming will encourage other professional sports organizations to also follow the science and provide protections for women’s sports in the future. As we have all seen it’s an emotional issue for both sides of this debate and I know trans women only want to compete against other women on a fair level. But as we’ve been witnessing, the science, results and the reality is that a trans woman athlete retains certain physical advantages long after they have transitioned. As much as we have heard opinions to the contrary, the facts bear this out. When I saw this trans woman UFC fighter fracture her female opponents skull after tossing her around like a rag doll, I knew that the issue of trans athletes in pro level sports would become a very heated topic.

All levels and modalities of sport should adopt the same policy. Male, female, open, problem solved!

Why not create a separate category for trans people? Where they can compete and enjoy sports while maintaining fairness for cis women. We should care about everyone's feelings im this case cis-woman's as well and be respectful to them as well.

Women in woman's sports, Men in men's sports, Trans in tran's sports. Simple, fair, equitable. I don't see anybody denying trans athletes the ability to create their own leagues. This is exactly what the men's and woman's leagues did.

Its disgusting that they are using Caster Semiya the African runner because they only said anything when she started winning and these ppl said she looks like a man even tho she is a woman. Those ppl were racist and sore loses if see wasn't black she would of been protected from the jump but the press went in and ruined another black woman's life just because her physical features dont line up with your image of womanhood. I am not Australian so I don't know the sport celebrities, but, with the greatest respect, I have to ask whether the person in Canberra is a man or woman - he looks and sounds like a man to me.

In order to feel included you don't have to destroy and bring down another group. This isn't about feeling or how you choose to identify, it is only based on the science. Men have a physical advantage over women. Lia only ranked in the top 500 in the men's category, yet as soon they switched to the women's they came in first. Notice how you don't have this issue with trans men (since they are incapable of competing with biological men in the same sport).

Why did it take so long to stop the nonsense???

It's so simple. They must compete in a transgender league. And, if they don't want to believe they have a male biological body, that's their issue. I searched the internet for a website that had an updated list of world records or titles held in all levels of sports by transgender. I COULD NOT FIND ONE! I really hope someone begins a site that has all the records updated weekly/monthly/yearly. It is inevitable that between today and the next 100 years, ALL records from youth, high school, NCAA and professional will be decimated. Untouchable records will be set for biological women, leaving them less likely to participate. I don't believe an asterisk will make up for all the broken hearts, dreams, titles and scholarships lost over the rest of time! Women need to start standing up, speaking up, protesting, boycotting and straight-up, roar! to get your sports back before it's too late.

Putting a man in a woman’s swimsuit does not make him female. Biological males are just that. I’d like to transition to be a younger person but sadly I’ll always be my biological age.
