I can tell that the whole album was mixed loud, either recorded with analog and a lot of signal or digital pushed so it is almost clipping. now everyone cares too much about dynamics so they don’t mix anything with enough loudness and to compensate they started replacing the low end with mids and high end. that’s what make the mix sound lifeless and takes all the raw power away.

Actually looked into it and Fredrick Nordstrom just smashed it with compression and limiters

Some music actually sounds better with acoustical flaws. This song especially, I totally feel you 😂

I loved them in the beginning, i see it as a downfall. They used to make great music, now they don't. Clayman is a good album, but its on their downward spiral (quality wise, commercially, they are more succesfull and they deserve it for all the great music, they made, before becomming popular)

Well thank you. But I must say not everything is 100% right. Lyrics are written by me from the CD's booklets. There are some writing mistakes and some words that doesn't go with together with the paper so sometimes I went with the booklet word and other times with what I heard.

+unfuckingmaker Sorry for a (really) delayed answer. I copied these lyrics from the albums booklet. So because I wrote them by myself there probably is spelling mistakes on some videos. But the lyrics are as official as they can. Of course even they are not always 100% right.

+Ruusi Lyrics thanks for the (albeit delayed) response. i still hear 'or is life the dog that bites you' but im sure the printed lyrics are more or less right. their accent throws me off some, but i am unreservedly impressed by their grasp of the english language as evidenced in their lyrics. more complicated lyrics and themes than most english as first language bands. anyway, thanks again.

+Reaping i like it better. your mom sounds lame. they are from sweden, right? their grasp of english only has to be so-so to skate by, with sounds as badass as they produce. but aside from that, 'is life the dog that bites you' sounds less cliche than 'is life the dark that binds you', and makes alot of sense to one who has had a rough go at it. for some, life is a bowl of cherries; for others, life is a big bowl of shit, aka the dog that bites you. your mom.
