@@EricAxel36 Perhaps you didn't notice but... It's been 20 years since Clayman, my man. If that doesn't qualify as an old In Flames sound to you, you're reaching too far back for reference. Lunar Strain had some amazing moments. Jester, Whoracle, Colony, etc. Like it or not, we're old now, and Clayman is old In Flames NOW. 😜
The songs arrangement is simple, but there is so much complexity within it. And the nuances in-between keep you locked in the entire time. Anders vocals are stellar. It's like old In Flames meets a new Era. It's beautiful.
It really is, it’s a masterful way to incorporate literally all elements of In Flames. This song is amazing 🔥🤘 I’m thinkin the album will be out in October and I’m hyped beyond words!
Curious as to what you call "old-school" In Flames... This sounds nothing like Colony, or even Clayman... It's more similar to SoAPF or Siren Charms than Soundtrack To Your Escape or Come Clarity.
OMG they’re back! I Dont even Dream about it and In The same time we have Great In Flames and Great The Halo Effect! WHAT A YEAR!!! Feel like 16 year Old again!!
So happy theyre are back to form writing and loving that anders is screaming again fully.this is the in flames I've missed so much.heavy and melodic riffs, amazing vocals and that Gothenburg melo death sound
I am a big fan of older In Flames and the two new songs gave me some hope about getting them back. Not only the writinig is better, more melodic and aggressive at the same time (Anders' vocals are amazing here), but the production is way better, punchier and with better guitar tone than the last records. I wish the rest of the album is like this, please...
when they r playing the same, they are ok=) thats what u say but yeah I like that; that's the way i like most of LPs but thats -their style- they say no its not; Inflames is what they want to be even if we dont like that music i want them to be Inflames man u want them to be ur imagination of how IF should looks like? sry for using net english
I still wish they would completely go back to that Gothenburg melo death era. But I guess it would be hard to now. I havnt really checked out IF in years. Last record I bought would be A sense of purpose
In flames has been with me for 18 years now and I always hoped that they would find their old strength. And the two new songs make my heart beat faster that they can do it!!
.... dudes, two in a row now. Finally. Please let the rest of the album be like this 🤞. Getting those actual IF feels that you're supposed to feel. 🖤🇸🇪🤘
So I'm not the only one who was exclusively listening to the early to mid catalogue?! This does sound freaking great. I always loved the dichotomy of the heavy and then melodic transitions. Coming back to them after about 10 years of not following I feel like they tipped toward almost exclusively the melodic vocals, which isn't wrong, it just didn't scratch the itch for what I wanted when listening to In Flames.
'actual IF feels that you're supposed to feel'. You'd have felt them if you hadn't peaked in high school. Just another In Flames fan who has the smallest window for his taste in music. 'This band got me through so much 🥺'. Yeah, because you're so narrow minded, no one will ever give a shit to try to see things the way of someone who will only see something one way. It's cool, no worries. You can hate on the band all you want, and pray they make the same music they made 20 years ago. You didn't grow or get better, so why should anyone else? This fan base wants random lyrics about space travel and demonic possession as a metaphor for the collapse of society while the metal scene has made this band FUCKING IRRELEVANT. The only thing that In Flames ever contributed to metal was inspiring a fan base to only accept exactly one type of metal, which is probably why the metal community is racist and sexist as fuck.
I must say it's incredible for someone to maintain that much power on his voice after that many years. Also the riffs are back strong.I believe this will be their comeback album, like Trivium had with the sin and the sentence a few years ago. Lets see. So far these two songs are 🔥
Let's wait for the full album to drop. Remember that I, the Mask and Burn from the last album sounded speedy and energetic but the rest of the album wasn't
@@JL-fs2br Mikael might have the best harsh vox in melodeath, whereas Anders has never been a strong vocalist. The Halo Effect absolutely shits on this mallcore garbage.
There are 4 songs from the previous album that I love so much that I hope the rest of the album would be as great, what a disappointment in the end. This new track is not a whinning song, that's a good point yet it does not appeal to me, matter of taste.
Oh wow, I’m getting Come Clarity-era vibes from this. Maybe In Flames really is due for an album that can reasonably be described as “good” for the first time since Jesper “left”!

I have listened to this over 10 times already and still can't get enough of it. Reminds me of the colony album. Can't wait for the new album. In Flames We Trust 🙏
@@bangxeloz there was another one that was released 21 hours ago on the In Flames channel. Didn't have the film clip and comments were turned off so couldn't comment on that one.
yeah finally we getting a real In Flames album after 16 years... damn that making me feel old as well as pissed off that it took them 16 years to return to their style of Melodeath that should have never left
The riffs don’t sound like clones of old In Flames but they have the same sonic feeling, those beautiful and powerful melodic guitars that carry you away and make you feel like you’re swimming in your own utopia. Great song and super excited to hear the rest of the album.
Dear god keep this up… these 2 songs are the best music released since Clayman. Thank you for returning to your roots, this will be a gift to long time fans I believe 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
People are so numb in mind that In Flames tells you truths such as what has happened and is happening with the Covid issue, and what remains with other issues (war, USA, Russia, etc); and the comments here of some are that it means his letter.... I hallucinate Excellent music and lyrics. Well In Flames
The song speak to my soul. The world is a bad place, the old values are forgotten and what remains is chaos, selfishness and the anger of not being able to stop it. Now our hope is in our children, for them the world is still a beautiful place, they see things diffrently, they must preserve that and we have to remember what it was like to be a child........ "feel you" K.
"Joey was right this is the final countdown" so hilarious but so real, the lyrics is simple but direct, we are in the path of self destruction, i missed this in flames
Warning! These guys come with everything, they come to kill and show why they were the kings of Melodic Death Metal in its golden age. They return for his crown.
Ok, after hearing the last track I was trying not to get my hopes up (just in case) but after hearing this one I'm all fucking IN!! I seriously haven't been this excited about a new In Flames release since the early 2000's. I'm so fucking happy right now lol
Holy Hell , this album will be EPIC, this is why I love this band so much because they always make awesome music. Thank you In Flames for being the best metal band.
"Bend the truth to fit your opinion, another excuse, another lie; it's not what you say, it's what you do." No better way to describe humanity these days.
Well done, another great song; after this new track I can confirm that the real In Flames that I adored in the nineties are back; of course, I have to listen to the whole album, but at the moment the path is the right one.
@@migmig5613 These cookie cutter comments are being left by people who didn't know In Flames existed in the nineties. They were listening to Limp Bizkit.
This is for the loyal fans of this band that do not let go despite the change in their music over the years. THANK YOU IN FLAMES! in IN FLAMES WE TRUST!🤘
Loyal fans, or fanboys/girls? A "true fan" doesnt have to eat up everything a band does/makes. Having an independent opinion is what all fans should have, What you're describing smell a lot like fanboyism, which is harmful to a band and it's community! I've been a fan since 2000, but Siren Charms and Battles forced me to take a break from the band. I get trying out new things, but ever since Jesper left, In Flames started to sound more and more like a bad parody. Their last single got me sort of back into them again, but this new one is just... Meh. The lyrics are good, but musically it's underwhelming at best.
@@Bru741iX I've been an In Flames fan since 2005. I still run their discography from time to time, and I don't really have much trouble with anything until Battles. That's usually when I lose interest and just go back to The Jester Race or even Come Clarity.
Was thinking that too! I've been listening to that album a ton lately, it kinda got lost for me between one I didn't like as much, but it's turned out to be one of my favourites. Hope the new one stands up to it.
ZAJEBISTY NUMER ♥️ Wokal w In Flames jest czymś niesamowitym jak zawsze, a gitary jak zawsze zajebiście dają niesamowity podkład 🥰 W POLSCE KOCHAMY IN FLAMES!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
If their new album is like this I'm in heaven. Also that Joey line I had to look up if that was a reference to the final count down. It is, fucking hilarious. Love it.
@@Phantom_Mountain_Art Elaborating on what fans can expect from the upcoming IN FLAMES album, Anders said: "This is the fourteenth album. So if you know IN FLAMES, you know sort of what you're gonna get. But I think this is a good mix of the past, the present and wherever we're going, and [it] has a little thing for everyone; it has the heavy, it has the melodic, it has the uptempo and the slow parts. I think it's amazing, and it really represents who we are at this time."
Sounds more like 'Clayman'-era to me. Has more melodies compared to 'Reroute to Remain'. Either way, it's a fuckin' killer song. These two new ones are the only songs I've managed to get into since 'Clayman', ahah.
Lyrics aren't as metaphysical as in the old days, but so much else is back - fret-tapping, growls, counter-tempo, dual harmonized leads... best thing they've released in nearly twenty years. Get the lyrics back up to the depth of Colony and Jester Race, and this would be almost perfect.
Fuck, you'd almost think your government made listening to the old albums illegal. Spoiler: they haven't. Listen. To the old. Fucking. Albums. Can't fucking be happy? Maybe no one gives a shit.
The best we can wish is for is them SOUNDING like melodeath again, and the 2 singles have delivered on that. Anders and Bjorn can deliver on that front, but the true lyricists were Jesper and Peters whom are gone, and so is the 90s/00 before Reroute sound. If ya want Jesper and friends playing together again, there's The Halo Effect for that (with the bonus of Mikael Stanne as front man)
@@alexmobape o único disco que nao curto tanto é o Battler, mesmo tendo umas musicas boas. Agora o Sounds é perfeito e o Siren e I, the Mask sao bem feitos.
How many people googled "the final countdown" to see if the lead singer of the band (Europe) was named Joey lol. Amazing song. So excited for the new album after this and state of slow decay.
This actually gave me chills, It actually feels like not only is In Flames back but really shredding it up. This feels like a swansong its so dope. If this is the quality and style man keep it up, Don't rush.
I would be great to invite Joey to scream those 3 words "the final countdown" ;) But the song is heavy and the lyrics are so real, unfortunately. As long as people believe politicians and businessmen, nothing will change. No matter how long would be the "break to reset our minds".
