I love this entire album. I can't fully articulate my gratitude, this album has been instrumental in helping me develop a revitalized sense of passion within my self, in spite of the past half decade largely being spent trying to leave this Earth. It serves as a reminder that there are in fact other people still trying to change this place for the better, and to me that is fucking priceless.
Love old in Flames love new In Flames they don't have a single original song I don't like!!! Some people complain about the way they used to sound compared to the way they sound now but I think they've progressed perfectly!
Agreed, if fact I they have more so than any other band I have ever listened to! There is no one else that has put out great music as long has IF has and I just continue to Love their music! IFWT
It is calming, im listening to it because im nervous ATM. Only with a panic attack i switch to Lindsey stirling or piano but else Metall calms me down^^
How many references to old material can you guys spot? Colony, artifacts of the black rain, satelites and astronauts, ordinary story. Theres a few others in there
[Verse 1] We have come so far, crawled through knives and artifacts We had a purpose and a reason behind space and time Ignore the fixed ideals, serve your restless soul Dedicated to all that's sacred, measuring noise and sound Reach a brand new level, watch the worlds collide [Pre-Chorus] Set yourself on fire as we remember this forever We remember this forever [Chorus] When the sky is clear, we will remember Through thick and thin, we won't surrender As the years pass, the memories still last When the sky is clear, we will remember [Verse 2] Calling our gathered masses from the colony to the hive Come to realize not an ordinary story We are on a highway, nothing left to lose [Pre-Chorus] Set yourself on fire as we remember this forever We remember this forever [Chorus] When the sky is clear, we will remember Through thick and thin, we won't surrender As the years pass, the memories still last When the sky is clear, we will remember [Instrumental Break] [Chorus] When the sky is clear, we will remember (When the sky is clear, we will remember) Through thick and thin, we won't surrender (Through thick and thin, we won't surrender) As the years pass, the memories still last When the sky is clear, we will remember When the sky is clear, we will remember (When the sky is clear, we will remember) Through thick and thin, we won't surrender (Through thick and thin, we won't surrender) As the years pass, the memories still last When the sky is clear, we will remember
I love In Flames. I've been a fan since 2010 in my high school days. They've come so far imo. I will remember those days when this band got me through High school. 🤘 I wanted to say something else, but I forget..
That whole song is referencing previous song/album and is about remembering all that made what they are know and what has been done by them in the past. "Crawled Through Knives", "Artifacts", "Behind Space", "Colony", "The Hive", "Ordinary Story", "(i'm the) Highway" are the song more evidently referenced. you also have A purpose and a reason that can reference "A sense or Purpose" and is also a line from Lunar Strain. "Noise and Sound" can work with lyrics from Where the Dead Ships Dwell ("All i hear is noise"). "Worlds Collide" is a callback to In My Room lyrics as well as "Gathered Masses" that is from The Jester Race and "Come To Realize" that is from Cloud Connected.
@@sostekai But i don't want to adapt to their change, i like the music i want to hear and they sadly don't make that kind of music anymore. Which is fine for them and you, but i just stopped listening to them years ago.
@Conflux I dont know by ukraine places frame but i see after many times and still clear frame on my country.beacuse the frame i see is spasific place on politics people meet every day on work.
I can not understand this Klickcount. Each and every asswhole gets klicks for everything and if somebody releases a masterpiece the humanity gives a fuck. Anders, Björn, trust me, we need u here in Hamburg and Wacken. :) IFWT \m/
Sounds better @ 1.25x speed. Still prefer the classic inflames, but check up on them every year in hopes they surprise everyone with something kick ass. Everything between clarity to recent has all sounded watered down, slow, simple, generic and predictable all for the sake of a screamer who can't scream anymore. At least, that's what it sounds like. Like "hey guys, I can't scream anymore, how about we do weezer covers now?". With this particular song it sounds like inflames is finally starting to find a sound that doesn't come off as "watered down" or "selling out" or "ran out of ideas". While this song isn't particularly mind blowing, it does sound like a tipping point for the band. I think they've been honoring their old sound to some degree....but this just sounds like it's they said "eh, fuck our old sound, let's just focus on our new pop sound without honoring the past at all". Which probably upsets some easily offended snowflake, but I don't mean it in a negative way. I mean it like....I'd rather see them do a whole new sound all together than continually pumping out generic rock songs that have the "essence" of their classic albums. I always felt doing that was irritating, it's like "come on guys, pick up the pace and scream! Don't taunt me anymore". This is much better than the other songs they've done in recent yrs. Hope they expand on this, still want them to pick up the tempo though.
