Islam could one day be the largest religion in the world, so it is fundamentally important for students to have at least a minimal introduction to what it is.
Join Jonathan Henry, program director for the Liberal Studies degrees; Dr. Joseph Jensen, lecturer in the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies program; and two students, Said Bilani and Wesley Hughes, as they discuss engagement with Islam.
Islam is a religion just like every other religion; it has good and it has bad. We need to work towards understanding each other because once we have that understanding, then can we move from understanding to acceptance.
In Focus is filmed at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies and brings together professors, faculty members, guest lecturers, and thought leaders to engage in conversations that range from leadership to technology and beyond.
