That's more like it, Britain. Plenty of countries around the world are lurching to the far right, France, Germany (which never bodes well...), the US if Trump gets back in, to name a few. But a bloody big bunch of people of all ages and races and faiths in this country say no, not here. There are plenty of issues we need to solve in this country, but none of them are solved by violence or xenophobia.
Academic studies have shown that multiculturalism does not work. It has nothing to do with xenophobia and all to do with social cohesion and identity. Add to that current 'positive action' that actively discriminates against majority demographics and it's unsurprising that frustrations are coming to the fore.
@SunofYork Correction. ANY of the fasciste groups from the 1890-2024 are far LEFT. The Right wants little to no government involvement in personal life. The Left wants little to no ability to say no to the government RUNNING your life.
