This reminded me of how teachers would always tell you for tests that if you didn’t know the answer then to just guess. That always infuriated me because then someone who just guessed might get it right and they’ll assume that person knows how to work it out so they’ll never learn the correct answer.

I got super high grades in one class in college. English. She told us to write about something that affected us as well as most of the population. This was 2005. Everyone wrote about 9/11. I took my chem exam on college board and it was easy asf, I would say with certainty I got a 4, probably a 5. Turns out I had that bug that was common at the time where submitting it glitches. Anyways, retook it, got an impossible test, much harder questions and got a 3. Now I have to take chem again…

I think they all have free will and everything was just pure luck but its like the move "in captivity" where when you grow up knowing something you believe it is right so when you learn it is wrong you go through kind of like stages of being proved wrong 1st there is denial 2nd there is uncertainty 3rd there is you leaning toward the other answer and 4th is where you know that the other thing was wrong and now you know what is right
