I love your videos man, there's just one problem... I'm now wanting to completely tear my phone and other tech apart because it looks so cool. You do it for us and I thank you so much for that, but sometimes you just need to see those chips and connectors for yourself and what you're showing us is magic
why???its so simple...i thought they made a got camera until i realise the camera is originally 1.5 aperture and they just added something like a pin hole to it...nothing truly amazing
Mr Heavy Duty never broken a customers device.... worked on over 50 phone... places glowin apple logo on iPhone 7, cracks lcd. Kms. I ended up buying the X. My people are happy with their replacements. Always. Except camera replacements. Apple has a deal with it where you have to reset the softwear/restore it. On some occasions so that specific one i have them use their icloud. Also i started on my cracked iphone 5s that apple wouldnt fix. Fixed that. Then an 4s that i got professionally fixed (they used a cheap display, they actually swapped out my battery it wasnt the oem in it etc)
They're never gonna get back to fingerprints in the first place. And they probably had done this before too, but they would've ditched this idea for as it wouldn't have been an economically viable option for them and perhaps due to production issues for as their sales volume usually is very much higher than that of vivo.
It's been two years but short answer: no. The protocols for USB C are a lot more complex than for mircoUSB and would require editing the circuit board itself and adding new components.
So informative and educational... I feel like I'm watching the Discovery channel any time I watch these teardowns... Really, really good stuff Zack!! Subscriber for life 👍👍
I can't wait to see the tear down of the vivo apex, how the fingerprint sensor is larger, the way it sounds having no earpiece and the mechanism of the camera, nice work Jerry!!!
This technology with on-screen biometrics is fascinating to me. Love your videos! This video was really pleasing to me. Something so fascinating and complex, is executed so simply. Awesome!
If any new phone come i just watch two videos 1.MKBHD 2.Jerryrigseverything Thats all you need to understand how the phone is! Thanks to both of you! Keepitup
I've got to hand it to you Zach, I enjoy how your videos are not so much about tearing phones down for the sake of destruction as it is for more scientific purposes. I have been learning a lot of how one of our simple everyday tools, let us call it a phone, works from the inside; as well as how the new technology implemented fits and works in the device.
This in screen fingerprint is really really cool but it must become faster it will be hard but i think it will be better than face id or other face scanning inventions.
Muhammad Ibrahim no, at least not yet. You can clearly see the OLED display isn't fully transparent like a glass, so the lens can't capture lights above the screen properly. Unless there's some tricky way to bypass the OLED screen, or any methods for the light to reach the camera lens.
If you can, it will probably be completly blurry because there's no Lens. And also completly white because the scanner is constantly exposed. But if you solve this it may be possible, sound awsome
its really enjoyed to see the tear down of actual AMOLED screen....i really don't understand that why some people gives the dislikes for the tear down like this...
You know, this is the reason why i subscribed to this channel (apart from being informative), it always make me 'scared' and 'worried' and always intense to watch every video he upload.
Thank you for this heart breaking teardown... Very informative... Now, with the exemption of that micro usb... I'd say that this phone sure is awesome. I kinda want to get one for myself... Such a wonderful phone... R.I.P.
Great teardown....so would you think it cost prohibitive to repair that phone? with the integrated sensor and all? wonder what a replacement screen will cost, probably can't be a knockoff since the sensor must be included
I love your channel and how you go into detail of what make things work and I was wondering if you would do a LG X Charge tear down. I'm curious on if it's worth buying..
Love these teardown videos. It will be interesting to see how quick the other players jump on this under glass finger print sensor. I prefer location to be on the back of the phone which should be do-able on a glass back phone.
I think you're the 1st one in the world to tear down this phone.... And man it gives a piece of mind that charging port is not soldered into motherboard... Otherwise it'd have been a complete nightmare if charging port is gone... Pretty nifty yet helpful usb replacement... 😊
Thanks that was very awesome! I’ve seen my fair share of technology, that is topping the cake so far. Until they release that fully clear conductive glass for see through phones it will be another pinnacle breakthrough
Thanks for all the knowledge on your channel man! Love learning and hearing that calming voice of yours. You as have such a way with talking, so fluid, not filled with pauses and ums or uhs.
