Christian Cooper, the host and consulting producer of National Geographic’s new series Extraordinary Birder (premiering Saturday, June 17 at 10/9 p.m. Central), has observed birds on every continent except Antarctica. But that will change this December when he joins us as guest speaker aboard Journey to Antarctica: The White Continent. “I'm just thrilled that I’ll be seeing a new chunk of the Earth and the birds that come with it,” says Cooper, especially looking forward to spotting penguins and the pelagic birds that accompany our ships through the Drake Passage.
