My grandad was in Iceland for 2 years during WWII with the Army Air Corps. He really liked the place and even had a hand in building the airfield there in Reykjavik as an engineer. I've got his membership certificate for the FBI (Forgotten Bastards of Iceland) hanging up on the wall. Because of being there so long, and putting up with two full winters, he swore he'd never again complain about being cold..... and he never did! Miss ya grandpa!
