This camp is a way station serviced by local NGO’s and for the illegals to rest and receive meals, water, fire wood, blankets, tents and more. The Border Patrol methodically transports the people to processing centers and the individuals are familiar what to do when Border Patrol arrives
Today the groups consisted of Central Americans, Brazilians, Turks and Mexican. We learned more of the manner of which they are driven by cartels from Tijuana and the hefty price. They asked us when immigration would pick them up. Some had been at the way station for 24 hours. Others, headed in groups waking on the freeway east towards Imperial County and Arizona.
Each person was helpful and seemed to enjoy talking with us.
