I decided to invite my dutch family over for dinner, pinoy style! So here's my in laws trying pinoy food for the first time! Well, they've had pansit before, but it'll be their first time to try the chicken adobo and beef kare-kare. We usually would do a BBQ or serve pasta/chinese when we have birthday parties here at home. This time it's different and I was happy it was a success! Enjoy watching!

You know why I like watching videos like these? It's because it proves to the world that they are wrong. They have prejudged the Filipina whenever she marries a foreign man. So many negative ideas and misconceptions. I will not deny the existence of multitudes of Filipina gold diggers. But each case must be examined before we judge them. Here we see a loving wife. It's not sports or singing that makes me proud to be a Filipino, it's Filipinos like these who are good, and prove that racial statements are false.

I normally dont comment at all to videos but enjoy reading comments because I learn and gain broader perspective from other people's ideas. I just have to strongly disagree on this negative misconception about Filipinas. I'm Filipino Canadian but was born and raised in the Philippines so I am very much aware of our culture. Been living in Canada for 12 years now. Pinoy culture is very family oriented. Filipinas are very domesticated that once they start a family, often times they become full time housewives to look after the kids. So it is given that they give up their career to do so. And this set up I believe is misconstrued as gold diggers by the Western world. While it may be true that there are Filipinas who go for foreigners in hope of getting a better future, that also holds true for a Filipina wanting an accomplished Filipino because he will be the provider of the family that they give up their own career to be a mother and a wife. Western culture is totally different. The husband and wife both work to sustain their living because of countless bills. They work and live to pay debts. That might be a very bold statement but that's what i've seen here in Canada. No surprise that day care is a necessity here because that's where the kids stay while parents work. Also, kids once they reach 18, they're supposed to leave the house and support themselves. But if they chose to stay at their parents, they are obliged to pay rent or share with the expenses. Common Law (live-in) set up is so common here so that the gf/bf can share the expenses of renting an apartment. If i may add, their money are separate, married or not. So only a domesticated family oriented western guy would love having a Filipina as a wife while the rest would just accuse them of being gold diggers. Im saddened by the fact that even Fellow Filipinos view this as such. Filipino Family is the best. Love you all✌

Isn't it so satisfying, happy & proud at the same time that some other people & other nationalities love to eat and enjoy the taste of Pinoy foods & cuisine and even back for more. I agree with you. I'm married to foreigner too. That doesn't change anything. We love each other and his family was so nice to me. Treats me well. Most Filipina are sweet and family oriented. Hello from Birmingham UK. What fantastic choice for a menu. Been married to a pinay for 17 years and used to regularly visit Enschede back in 2002, when I was stationed in Duelmen. I am probably a racist saying this but my two favourite Nationalities have always been Pinoy and Dutch. It probably as they are both so tolerant. That looked a really happy party. Hungry na, that was why they devoured the sweets or appetizers with gusto. Dinner time, they had big appetite . Not choosy. You are lucky girl !

My man is a foreigner, i was introduce our food, talking about rice that we eat 3x a day,with fish chicken or veg.etc.but they are laughing and said 'oh my God' that time i was upset.but one time i cooked rice and chicken adobo.they said 'taste good '.i was appreciated this family.

My mother is married to a dutch man rn we r living in china cause he works here i have met my step fam. Opa my step fathers brother and the other even my step siblings and they r rly nice i haven't met all of them cause some were in the netherland before they couldn't come but it was nice to meet them they r rly nice & so tall haha. 😂😂 I love them. ❤️

Maswerte kna kung gusto ka ng mga in laws mo at kasundo mo pa! Lalo na ibang lahi... my better half is british and we have 1 child, im lucky kc mahal ako ng mga in laws ko..lalo na minsan pag may di pagkakaunawaan byanan ko ang kakampi ko! Love din nila food naten lalo na ang sopas at pansit! Lol
