T'keyah crystal was really a gem that needed her own show where she could show all her versatility, especially the childhood voice. The only person I know as great as her with the voices is Regina king
funny how ILC spoofed Americas funniest home videos lmao. Both were really big favorites in my home when I was a kid. Funny enough, half the gag was that Bob Saget was supposed to be a "corny" comic. But many of us, MUCH later in life, came to discover what a great and particularly brutal and raunchy comic Bob actually was. May he rest in peace. Also, it's funny how you find surprise at what they were allowed to film at the time. For example, I lost it when that clerk got blasted in that black and white robbery footage during the americas funniest home videos sketch. I mean, I remember laughing as a kid, but things have gotten so sensitive, that you almost forget sometimes that you lived in a world where you were ALLOWED to laugh, if that makes sense.
I hope that any young people who may watch this today can look up who Andrew Dice Clay was so that they can appreciate just how damn accurate and funny that Andrea Dice Clay sketch was.
This show was a great counter to the often saccharine and bland other shows of the time. Homey especially was very edgy, in the fact that he targeted only "The Man" and it really wasn't about "color" but about a mindset more than anything.
This was the first episode of the show that I saw back in 1990. Every sketch in this one was funny. When was the last time that a sketch comedy show could say that?
Ohno,i was curious to know where bob saget was, i was shocked to see he passed away, how the heck did i not hear about this,i grew up with him hoping he was my dad.rest easy bob😢
I dont know who the stand out star was as i watched it via dvds my older brother bought when they first came out.. although in sure i saw re runs in the late 90s. Who was the stand out star? I was always a big Damon fan, loved his humour growing up and movies like bulletproof
