In Memoriam 1995: Famous Faces We Lost in 1995 

I grew up a pink floyd led zeppelin kinda guy. Whenever I took my mom somewhere we always listened to dean Martin. On one of her dr trips she, out of the blue, says you like his singing. It wasn't a question. I sheepishly admitted it. I loved his singing and his movies.

Selena Quintanilla. An Icon of TexMex. Rest in peace. We love you forever. Rest In Peace Eazy E, Friz Freling, Bob Ross and Dean Martin.

Also RIP to the 168 people who lost their lives in the Oklahoma City bombing on April 19, 1995. I remember I was going shopping that day with my friend and her mom and I heard about the bombing on the radio (in Illinois) but didn't realize the extent of how bad it was until I saw the news later in the day. It remains the deadliest attack of domestic terrorism in the U.S. and is second to 9/11 in scope.

Bob Ross is a standout among celebrities. He never cared about being rich, he just wanted to show the world the joy of painting.

Elizabeth Montgomery's passing totally broke my heart!

Years ago, PBS did a weekly, Saturday showing of "Joy of Painting" which I seldom missed. But, within a few minutes, I was sound asleep on my living room floor. I never slept so well.

Bobby DeBarge, lead singer in R&B group Switch died August 16 1995 at age 39 of AIDS complications. Singer Phyllis Hyman died June 30, 1995 at age 45. Actor Hugh O'Connor, best known as Lonnie Jamison on the TV series n the Heat of the Night, and son of Carroll O' Connor died March 28, 1995 at age 32.

I'll never forget the day Jerry Garcia passed. I still miss him. Been to many a Grateful Dead shows.

Phyllis Hyman, although she was not famous but she was a singer/actress! She passed away in 1995, due to suicide. She was 45 years old.😢

Sergei Grinkov a Russian pairs skater died in November of that year...heart attack at 28. That was heartbreaking. He had a beautiful wife and a two year old daughter.

Art Fleming died from pancreatic cancer just like Alex trebek did 25 years apart between the two hosts of jeopardy

Sad how Dean Martin passed away on Christmas. I was born in 1995 and the fact that he died on my first Christmas is insane.

You left out Jimmy Campbell who worked for over 30 years with my beloved Detroit Tigers. He coined the term "Season Of Tragedy" describing my first year (1966) as Tigers fan losing two managers TO DEATH! (Charlie Dressen died at 70 from kidney failure after suffering a massive stroke and Bob Swift (52) died from throat cancer.)

Rip Alexander Godunov who played Karl one of antagonists along with Alan Rickman as the iconic main villain Hans Gruber in the 1988 classic Die Hard and he appeared in Harrison Fords Witness in 1985. Rip also to Donald Pleasence who played one of the best Ernst Blofelds in the Sean Connery James Bond film You Only live Twice in 1967.

Ed Flanders was one of my favorite actors. What a sad photograph of him. Too young to die, but I understand it after reading this summary from Wikipedia: "After three divorces, chronic pain from a back injury sustained in an automobile crash in 1989, and a lifelong battle with depression, Flanders died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound on February 22, 1995, in Denny, California at the age of 60. No suicide note was found, and his remains were cremated." I hope you found joy and comfort beyond this life, Ed. You were a good man.

You all forgot about John Newland who hosted One Step Beyond which came on the air on tv about a few months in 1959 before The Twilight Zone. It's very important that everyone go see their doctors at least 4 times a year, in that way maybe the doctor's can catch a growing disease in it's early stages. It's very unfortunate that Elizabeth Montgomery(one of my all-time favorite actress) colorectal cancer wasn't diagnosed early. I'm 68 going on 69 in July, I was diagnosed with prostate cancer very early in 2005 and I got treatment that I am now cancer free for 18 years. Too many people have died from diseases that if caught early(most of them) could have saved their lives. Rest In Peace to Elizabeth Montgomery, John Newland and everybody who died in 1995.

None of them died from the jab.
