Eddie Albert was 99 when he died. His son, Edward Albert disclosed after Eddie’s death that his true birth year was 1906 not 1908. It was done to protect Eddie’s mother who gave birth to him out of wedlock.

Thank you for remembering Dave Allen. He was an astonishing comedic talent. On the surface, he was suave, urbane, and relaxed, but his comedy tapped into a deep well of anger at the hypocrisy of institutions (the church, the state) and the inanities of modern life. I miss him still!

With all due respect to Henry Corden (who did a great job BTW) , I'm going to have to disagree about him being the best voice. The success and popularity of the classic flintstones series, is due primarily to the voice work of Alan Reed. It was his performance as Fred which anchored the show.

I'm surprised that there hasn't been any comments about Howard Morris' work as a voice performer. He and Allan Melvin (Sam the butcher on The Brady Bunch) co-starred in the series of Beetle Bailey animated film shorts for King Features and wrote many of the episodes. In 1962, he began working for Hanna Barbera. His his first role for them was the voice of Jet Screamer on The Jetsons. He also originated the voices of Atom Ant, and Mr. Peebles the pet shop owner on The Magilla Gorilla Show, where he would again co-star with Allan Melvin who voiced Magilla. In addition, he voiced Jughead Jones on The Archies animated series for Filmation.

John Vernon didn't play any villain in Dirty Harry, he played the Mayor. Fletcher was the character he played in The Outlaw Josey Wales. Fletcher was tricked into talking his men into giving up to the Union, but was betrayed and they were killed, except one boy and Josey Wales. Wales killed 40+ bluecoats with their own Gatling Gun and escaped with a wounded boy who later saved his life and then died. Fletcher caught up to Wales at the end of the movie, told him the war was over and let him go.

Shirley Chisholm did NOT advocate for 'social justice', which is a phrase invented by the leftists of today. The view that everyone deserves equal economic, political and social rights and opportunities was referred to as equal opportunity, which became the law under the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Today's leftists use the terms social justice and equity interchangeably when in fact equity means equal results, not equal opportunity, under the law.
