The Priestly Blessing : 'May God Bless you and watch over you. May God shine his face upon you and be gracious unto you. May God lift up his countenance towards you and give you peace.' (Number 6 23-27). Recited before a crowd in Israel in his last performance there. Notice the hand formation at the end. Its the symbol of the two hands becoming one, a kabbalistic tradition of the hand of love (the right hand) uniting with the hand of fear (the left hand) to allow love to overcome fear. (by holding the thumbs together) . A variation of this hand symbol was used by Leonard Nemoy when he played Spock in Startrek in which the ten fingers become five by holding them two by two. The pinky with the ring finger, the middle finger with the pointer of both hands and the two thumbs together. This too means that love overcomes fear. Spock presented just one hand in this style. If you read the Lyrics of Leonard Cohen's song Lover Lover Lover, he says he is a person in fear and shame stuck in a body and he askes his lover (possibly God) to enable him love to overcome his fear and shame.

Mr Cohen, saying Aaronic blessing and then sweetly mixing in his humility, blessed us twice. Really he did! Like all people, we should bless others, literally and by the way we conduct our walk in life. Mr Cohen, no exceptions, was not perfect by any means, who is?, ((but what I am saying is)), his example of true humility towards others, his ease of always reducing himself, is what I see in him, all the time I watch video interviews of him. And that is what makes him lovely...always. A treasure that kept giving and got better with his aging. This man always entertained simple, strived for joy and smiled even in his disappointments, all while we received, his, best efforts. He was a walking poem, about life, for me, I mean we all are, but not all of us are brave enough to share such things with...THE WORLD. Our truths, our frailness, our disappointments, our lack...our love, our sadness, joy, whatever the moments bring...this life we have. Leonard didn't surprise us with just anything, but used it all to express and convey to the world, that yeah, I am human and this is me. Never a dull moment. And nothing new either. Just real and raw, which is a part of us all. He never raised himself above his own words, but shared them with everyone, known and unknown...for the purpose of just being himself. And what comes from much deepness, will come the critics, the scrutiny and the misunderstanding of the unraveling of the heart of this particular man, who wasn't afraid to expose his inner man. Although, we are merely the creation, we have been given this life and we should walk in humility to this special gift called life. Always making others more beautiful than ourselves...by sharing our talents, our words, our special gifts with others. And yes, you can use harsh words or misunderstood language to get the attention of others, love is not our version or idea, but was given to us and meant for sharing. Thing is, we do we share this with others or not. Leonard chose to share. Thank you sir! Love can be harsh words that lead to piercing the heart with TRUTH, that is love. Truth is also not ours, but was also given to us. Our personal truth, is our testimony. God's chosen people, like Mr Cohen, used his words wisely, I believe this is because he actually took the time to think about what he wanted to say, rather than just speak for the sake of saying just empty words...and he walked his life out in reflection of this as well. Not sure if he knew this responsibility was on him fully, but now that I am older, I appreciate what my parents allowed me to hear musically. The variety of music is what I mean. As I am a God-fearing woman, and not everything I hear is really anything to learn from these days. Its about money and fame, not making people think, but rather, its about the artist and their drama and nonsense just to get awards and glory, not using their talent to help people, but rather using their talent to steal from people instead...music is a gift from God, and people who abuse such gifts is truly disgusting today. I truly and highly encourage any younger generation, to really examine the music, all genre's, of music their grandparents used to listen to, it is way better than the mainstream music of today. God bless. Be inspired to "laugh and cry and cry and laugh" about LIFE again...because this is life. Embrace it and face it, we all have it, so get through it, ...never "place" victim on it, but rise when you don't want to, smile when you want to, stay silent when you want to shout the loudest...pause, reflect and harness humility. Leonard did. ❤🙏
