@@Dvlbft3 Unfortunately, i have enjoyed 0 albums of theirs after "A Weight of Oceans". The charm seems to have disappeared and i can't explain what it is that's gone.
man you need to check latest amon amarth video Father of the wolf... now that its a fucking production. don´t know were they got the money for that kind of work
chaosultimamage I'm very happy with it, fuck off. The chorus part sends shivers down my spine, mostly because of how they look singing it in the video.
The song is absolutely amazing all over, but I need to give special credit to the part from 2:14 to 4:08. It's hauntingly sad and beautiful. Much love to you guys from Jordan.
I can feel the huge kraken rising.... from the middle of the dark sea. Beautiful and atmospheric. People spread the damn video... Its so damn good! they deserve more.
I'm proud to say that I own every album from these highly skilled artistic music musicians!! Worth every American dollar of mine. MONEY WELL SPENT. Greeting from Denver Colorado. Regards, Jake
Oh my! I just re-stumbled across this, 12 years after its release. I was 15 years old back then and I remember this song giving me all the feels. Listening to it back for the first time in years feels so surreal and special.
Dude, they are rock stars and rock stars ooze coolness out of their faces. They can't help it, they just feel the power of the tune. Man, they want to conquer oceans! That is a big deal! I mean unless you are an ultra depressing doom band, powerful facial expressions add to the music.
Its not common to find bands like this nowadays.. i mean .. theres just no words to describe this.. the musical composition.. the metal spirit.. the solidity of their rhythms.. the audio quality .. and even the videography .. THE FUCKING RAGE .. this is by far the best metal band ive listened to..
Stars align to give guidance Sail away under the darkening sky, as red turns to black The night illuminates the path Sail away, mind made up to make a vow to conquer the ocean!
God damn, this band, one of my absolute favorites are booked to play where I live, Aland Islands!!! August 15. No way I'm going to miss this awesomeness *excited*
They have three guitarists; Tobias (also vocals), Björn and Tim. Was fortunate enough to see them live two times during this summer, and even more fortunate to hang out with them after both shows! Nicest guys ever! :)
What I love so much about melodic death metal isnt just the awesomness of the music but also the funny faces they have to do to create those vocals... its entertaining and amazing at the same time :D
It's pure fucking "sturm und drang" you may say they are funny with the faces they do to make the vocals, but the way i see they aim to express an emmotion resulting on kieerkegard's desperation struggling with an unvincible desire of hope. Great band, great album great song!!!!
ALthough I do still really like their older albums and demos, I think they really hit the sweet spot with this album. I look forward to seeing what they do next.
Read and try to understand their lyrics, see the poetry, the harmoni, the sorrow and the engadgement that lies within! When I first heard in mourning I could not see why he would use the voice he's using. I hated it a little... I fell in love with the texts and I realised why he growl these texts, they are not to be said, they are to be growled, heard and loved! Thank you In Mourning -Norway
2:52 - 4:07 puts you in a whole new world. Block out everything, drift off and enjoy every second. This whole album is like a personal gateway to someplace in your mind. (I'm not tripping balls. It's just that good)
The screaming winds are begging, no choice, no options left But to seek aid from the ancient ones, deserters of the coral legion Memories from a golden age, unveiling knowledge to navigate by the stars A haunted heart to leave it's home and ride the waves Stars align to give guidance Sail away under the darkening sky, as red turns to black The night illuminates the path Sail away, mind made up to make a vow to conquer the ocean The day the sun forgot to shine, the stars carved something out of the sky A wooden gift to a haunted heart, for a distorted mind the tide will turn From a windswept shore, left it's home. Years and years entangled in affliction Stared into the eye of the giant, and time stuck it's head in the sand
