I like your video's they are very easy to follow/ But I am new to playing and my fingers can't do some of the cords because I have some arthritis in them. I was wondering if you can use more of the basic and easy cords. Thank you for the video's.
Hi. Thank you for your comment. First of all, I admire that you are trying to learn a new skill such as playing Ukulele despite the condition of your fingers. It must be challenging... For this song (In My Life), I think Fm, Bb, and D are perhaps the more difficult ones. For this song only, they can be substituted as follows: Fm(1013) -> F(2010) [numbers are finger positions on fret, from 4th to 1st string] Bb(3211) -> Bb6(0211) D(2220) -> D7(2020) They will sound a little different than the original, but should be acceptable. For other videos, I've actually been choosing easier keys to play, and whenever possible, replaced difficult chords to easier ones without losing the quality of the sound. And I will keep doing so. Unfortunately, for some songs, more challenging chords are unavoidable. But I will try to give easier alternatives for those whenever possible. I hope this answers to your comment. Thanks again.
