a mindset that might help in overcoming perfectionism-- "make it exist" instead of thinking you have to make it perfect and end up not doing it, just think "make it exist". lovelots

idk if hearing this will help or not, but imo you literally cannot make an ugly painting. your art style is so beautiful and dreamy and because of that i don't think you could make an ugly painting if you tried tbh.

Hi Jasmien! I'm not sure if you'll read this or not, but... I've watched your videos since you've had your blue hair with the baby bangs era back when you were in art school. Back then I was also a baby in undergrad, sadly, I've become a slave to corporate life and life just got carried away. I drifted from watching RU-vid videos specifically, your channel. Today, I started to slowly come back to what I reminisced about my youth and you were one of them! It's so nostalgic and such a great feeling to see how much you've grown as a free-will individual living in the city and working as an artist. I grew up as the rare Asian girl in a small rural town, but always dreamed of moving to the city (I have some friends and family there, just waiting for a job opportunity). There's so much I want to say like how I aspire to be like you moving forward in my life, but again not sure if you'll read this comment. I really hope all goes well with you and I'll def be checking in now and then on your channel. BTW you're so beautiful and love your aesthetics. To me, growing up while watching your videos seemed like you were my friend, but not really you know? LOL I know people are like "most content creators put up a mask and aren't really like what they are online". Even so, you were different than everyone else and just gave me a genuine, relaxing, but adventurous energy. Weirdly, I still feel this way after coming back to your videos. Anyway enough rambling, stay healthy and happy!
