In Other Waters - Launch Trailer - Nintendo Switch 

I was waiting to see the gameplay. Then I realized, this is the gameplay.

I wanted to play whatever was in the thumbnail.

Okay so I know that this was "clickbait" but for someone who's a giant biology nerd, I am head over heels for this game. I'm two levels in, and the worldbuilding is absolutely phenomenal. Every species is well thought out, as well with their relations to other species, and their role in the reef. That's so friggen hard to do, and this game amazes me

The Thumbnail: do you like artistic 3rd person underwater exploration games? The Game: menus are fun!

When I first saw the picture for the game, I thought "Hmm, this could be a good replacement for Endless Ocean." Dear Nintendo, please give us Endless Ocean 3. You can include caves too. It will be magical.

I am hooked, think of this more like a book/visual novel even, there is a lot of text describing what the person in the suit sees. Just like in a book you have to fill it in with your imagination. These orange dots in your head become reefstalks, the moving blobs with 4 white circles are the reef grazers who feed on the reef, building their shells with the materials; Its all there and its all described, you just have to imagine the details yourself. Play it in those few solitary dark hours before bed, let yourself get sucked in and imagine a whole new world!

From the thumbnail, I thought it was going to be a Subnautica type of deal, didn't expect a topographic puzzle game, seems interesting

This trailer is so soothing to me... The colors, the sounds, the music... I am entranced.

That gameplay honestly looks very interesting and unique. Was interested in something like the thumbnail but when I saw the gameplay I was surprised and now I want to see more of this.

I hate how everyone here is complaining about the thumbnail being clickbait and not what the gameplay looks like. What? You think they’re promotional art would be of this interface? I mean, seriously?

There is so much negativity and discontent for something that haven't even played yet. Out of the three hundred comments I've seen only a handful that are at least giving this a fair shot. Lord knows only the best games these days require both a 3d world and some sort of weapon in order to be fully immersive

This game more fantastic than it actually looks - the sci-fi exploration feeling you get just by reading can only be compared to a quality sci-fi book. I recommend it to anyone who likes to read and look at beautiful colors!

I don’t know much about the actual game if I’m going to be honest, But the OST is so amazing. Its like setting your brain into a vast empty yet beautiful part of space, I recommend listening to it is what I’m saying

"The thumbnail is misleading/clickbait/etc" Ignore the thumbnail. Watch the trailer. If it doesn't seem interesting, it's not for you. If it does seem interesting, you'll love it. This game caters to a very specific group of people, but it caters to them well.

That is a beautiful UI. Almost makes up for the completely misleading thumbnail.

Very interesting... You explore the world, but you never see the world. The closest thing would be the sketches of the creature reports. It lets you fill the gaps with your imagination, wondering how the world looks like. Like a text adventure.

me at the beginning: I have no idea what's going on me towards the end: I have a slight idea what's going on

The game looks really interesting, I love the colors and the feel to it, but I was expecting something else completely... I personally don't think it's a well done clickbait, sadly. I know promo art and gameplay don't match most of times, but I think there should be something of the promo art in the game, or portray better what you will SEE in the game. In this case promo art and gameplay don't match at all (yes I havent played the game but I'm talking as a potential buyer) and is really misleading. I know there have been cases like this years ago, but I think times have changed a little bit to do this? (People have an easier access to internet, to trailers and gameplay, so they can better choose if to buy a game with a pretty cover or not) I've seen some really positive comments on this game so I'll definitely look up more about it, but again, without those comments, I would have left earlier. Definitely needed a different approach on this one since I've read a lot of comments about how the art was juicier than the game

I was really hoping for something more like subnautica. The small amount of story we have been given would be enchanting if it was mixed with a 3d open world.
