You have to admit, this song is really good. I mean, I enjoy this type of genre. I know some people don't. That's fine. BUT TAT CHORUS. You gotta love it. Sad they broke up, a lot of potential.
These boys are friends of mine. I remember seeing this video before it was released while sitting on the floor of their van in a gas station parking lot. I was devastated when they informed me they were no longer going to be a band.
Joe, the lead singer, is just kinda living his life now and doing well. The brothers, Jimmy (guitarist) and Anthony (drummer) are working on different bands. Can't think of the names off the top of my head though. The other two boys I haven't heard much from, unfortunately.
Jimmy is now in a band called Misery Loves Company where he's the lead singer and Anthony seems to be working on his photography more than music as of late. He was in a band not that long ago but I haven't heard much about it for a while. I don't live near them anymore, so we don't talk as much as we used to.
Saw these guys live twice around when there EP came out, they got some crazy good stage presence and the lead singer joe is a pretty cool dude. Wish they would have never broken up :/
Even if somebody uses auto tune, they need some ability to sing. If they don't they end up sounding like T-Pain. I don't think he uses auto tune anyway...maybe some pitch correction and harmonies, but that's common in any well produced song. Singing and drumming is an amazing talent, especially if you can pull it off like he does. I would say they're generic post hardcore drum beats, but just because they are generic doesn't mean they're easy.
Coming from a drummer, the beats aren't really at all that hard but I believe he wrote them in such a way so he would be able to play it live and not look like a tool for not being able to play it. So in my opinion he is damn good and also smart.
Okay, just going to throw this out there, the drummer's actual playing isn't anything crazy. But, the fact he can sing so well is impressive. Let's just take a step back about his actual playing though.
Don't mean to be that guy, but he's really not an exceptional drummer, he is good though. He's just very multi-talented! Good hardcore drummers are guys like Jake Garland, Matt Greiner, and James Cassels isn't to shabby either, even though the band is not the greatest.
