Photographing the wildflowers and rugged coastline of Soberanes Point in Big Sur, California presented challenges. Winds were high during my visit. I wanted to crisply capture the wildflowers in the foreground, while having a little softness in the ocean and sky in the background. A single exposure could not capture that look.
In today’s video, I show you how I blend two photos together to get the look I’m after. With a little light masking in ON1 Photo RAW, I combine the crisp foreground from one frame with the soft background of another to get my final image.
