We've all heard that said so many times. As long as you're more determined than whoever "sealed" the place, you can do it. We went in late 2022. I know of people who went in 2023 as well. And of people who are planning to go this year.

An important detail to add here though, is that these two shuttles aren't owned by Russia, but by a Kazakh businessman

Hello from the non-nude Canadian photographer. 😂 Seems not everyone who went to see the Burans has a genuine interest in their history and preservation. Edit: I replied below but it disappeared. Just to confirm again: I talked with Musa and he won the legal case a couple of years ago, NPO Molniya inspected the MZK building 3 years ago and stated it's at risk of imminent collapse, and genuine interest includes keeping one's pants on. I wonder if this comment will also disappear now...

That's true. I do though, and I hope that comes across in the video or at least in the final voice over. Sadly, I find it unlikely that they'll ever be saved - given the long running legal dispute with Musa and also the current political climate in Russia. Hope does remain, as there have been reports of engineers occasionally visiting the MZK in recent years. It'll be interesting to see what happens with Baikonur as the Russian Federation and Roscosmos gradually move their activities to Vostochny. Who knows, it might open up some possibilities 🤷 Btw, I like your last video from there. Congratulations on a successful trip ​@@chrisluckhardt

@@08NiVeuS29 Well...those of us who have a genuine interest in history and science typically keep our pants on lol. But I guess getting naked is an "urbex" thing and I've never been part of that community and mindset. As for Musa, I've been in direct contact with him - the legal dispute was resolved during the pandemic and he is the confirmed owner of Ptichka and OK-MT. I saw a Russian news report that MZK was inspected in September 2021 by an NGO Molniya team. They reported the building as being at risk of imminent collapse. The doomsday clock for Ptichka is ticking...
