Is there a place for masculinity in modern society? And how should a man go about finding success and love in life if masculinity is as toxic as its critics say?
This is in search of healthy masculinity. Finding a place for men in today’s world.

@ShipperS7 oh. right. You are referring to the masculine ability to emanate a sense of danger in one's aura... so that bad people must fear him ?... but what if one isn't able to exude that ? Does that makes one less masculine ? Or should an ideal masculine man should be everready at his toes for any potential threat ?... That's the way to be... ? Right.. the warrior mindset... breaking the baddies' jaws!!... but one could be put in jail for that... worst case scenario :')... wait, a masculine must not fear anything, come what may !!.. Masculinity has to do with mindset. It's strength (mental) and confidence. And to an extent, the ability to not give a f*ck. The rest is just personal ideals, like morals or responsibility. They make you a better person, but they don't necessarily make you masculine.

Healthy masculinity isn't just about being strong; it's about having the courage to show vulnerability, the empathy to understand others' experiences, and the integrity to stand up for what's right. It's about breaking down walls of toxic masculinity and building bridges of connection and understanding. Let's redefine what it means to be a man - one built on compassion, authenticity, and respect. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. #HealthyMasculinity

The most masculine thing you can do in my subjective opinion, is being vegan and a humanist. There's major hypocrisy and cognitive dissonance in contributing to history's largest holocaust, to unnecessarily be; enslaved, raped, orphaned, tortured, exploited and killed, with 90 billion land animals and trillions of marine lives every year for the momentary pleasure of the taste buds. Pigs and birds being forced into gas chambers, having their tails/ teeth/ testicles ripped off without anesthesia, male babies being macerated, suffocated, having their throat slit, or being bludgeoned to death. It's not a personal choice because there's a victim whose well-being, you’re either violating or terminating. You seem to confuse making a choice yourself without interference as a personal choice, rather than one that affects other people. Why don’t you trade places with them? You just don't care because you're not the one in the position and can appeal to the ostrich effect (burying your head in the sand) and ignoring what happens on a daily basis. You say vegans are forcing their beliefs on you, but it’s their value of not harming others, whereas you are forcing others to be harmed for your beliefs. E.g., If I punch the air, it is a personal choice. No one, or thing, is being harmed. However, if any sentient being gets in my vicinity while I’m swinging, and I intentionally still hit, it is no longer a personal choice. There’s a victim whose life I’ve harmed. Vegans would be the ones defending you, if you were in that position. It makes one a morally bankrupt hypocrite to break the golden rule, and put others in a position that they, themselves would never want to be in. In fact, you all would be crying, and begging for mercy, and the only ones to attempt to save you (vegans), have no power. You have no right to intentionally violate the well-being of another sentient beings with the will to live, in the same way no one has the right to infringe on your well-being. If it's not good enough for you, or your eyes to see, don't do it to them. It's just arbitrary discrimination based on species, no different from racism, sexism, or homophobia. It's unnecessary, as all essential nutrients are readily available in plant-based alternatives, whether whole foods, fortified foods, or supplements. Would you rather pay to have an animals throat slit, or take a vitamin occasionally, which itself is more bioavailable. Even if it were not, just take extra. Causing unnecessary harm is, therefore, immoral. If you're not vegan, you're an animal abuser, which is the least manly thing.

Not sure what world you live in but from my experience any man I know that’s expressed even a small amount of vulnerability is instantly seen as weak or completely disregarded. It seems like this video's target audience is the average person still searching for meaning in life or recovering from past failures. Watching content like this might provide comfort and reaffirmation for them. However, those who are already contented and benefiting in masculinity or femininity likely won't resonate with this message and might even perceive it as toxic. This video seems designed to appeal to a specific audience, and if you find yourself connecting with it, you're likely in that demographic. However, there could be individuals who find a middle ground between the Red Pill and Blue Pill ideologies, and they might resonate with this content in a unique way.

One day, I woke up and wondered "Why am I not a man?" I was identifying as non binary, and I knew why I wasn't a girl. I had never wondered why I wasn't a man. It wasn't because it didn't feel right. In my mind there was a minimum amount of male gender roles you needed to be ok performing in order to qualify as a man. I didn't tick enough boxes so therefore obviously I had to be non binary. I had never given a damn about gender roles living as a girl. I would break gender roles just to flex. I grew up with girlpower and "women can do anything men can!". But no one said "men can do anything that women can". It wasn't "cool" and "radical" for a guy to wear a skirt or be emotional, as it was for a girl to be tough and wear a suit. Being a man to me looked like being a woman, but more restrictive. Can't wear this, can't act like this, can't do this, can't do that. Definitely can't be _yourself_ ! But that day, I realized that no gender police was gonna knock on my door. There *was* no minimal amount of gender roles. No one could *really* tell me who I was other than myself. If being a man felt right to me, it was up to me to decide my own kind of masculinity, what sort of man I wanted to be. And that is how I realized I was a trans guy. Mind you, I was 4 months on testosterone already. Everyone who saw me that day asked me why I looked so happy. What was I gonna tell them? "I can be a man!" Yeah, no shit, Sherlock, aren't you already doing that? 😂

i loved the "emotional intimacy part". however, id like to argue that men need people to talk to, except it should NOT be women. b*tching & whining to/with women can often break relationships. women stop seeing you as a warrior who can handle his own shit. i only say this cause ive experienced this early on in my life. if you need to talk to someone, it should be men. you need to have good quality friendships & relationships. talking to men only makes your masculine bond stronger & better. hence, i advise guys to not talk to their significant other/crush/female friends about their feelings. once in a while is okay, but when you do it constantly, it results in the woman taking a masculine role in the relationship. nice vid aperture 1!!1!!1!

Apsolute truth. Your SO might ask you what’s on your mind or might notice you’re down. Most don’t really want to hear about everything. All they want to hear is how they can make you feel better and if the problem is themselves. You sit down and whine about your issues day in and day out they will lose respect for you. Quickly as well. Men will only ever be judged. It’s why our brotherly bonds are stronger than any female bonds. So long as you surround yourself with lads willing to be honest with you. I’m sorry but women don’t have the capacity or understanding of what a man can be going through. I’d argue it’s hat they don’t really care so long as you assure them it’s not them being the issue

To answer/add, bare with me. "Finding a place for men in today's world." It reminds me of a bartender years ago who asked me "what are the women like where you're from?" As stupid a question, as honest and upright a guy i came to know him.. I answered, "please, in the name of all men, please don't ever ask that question again. No good shall come of it. But to answer your question(because he was dead-serious) 6 billion people. There are no 2 alike. Women nor us men." Keeping that in mind, we might share characteristics across the board. Those characteristics used to be comprehended due to personal scenarios in daily life. It was there, but only whens you moved forward in space and time, be it in your neighbourhood or at work, no different than today. But it was only then, when outside. Outside your home, or inside your home, but not in the comfort of your own silence and privacy, computing what Is happening. And deconstructing so. Now. Today. That comfort, while still present, no longer has boarders. Overload breaches. An overload of opinions, moments, voices, places. The breach; before today, introduction/absorbtion, was a scenario, solely instigated when having stepped outside your home. And ever since internet got integrated on the mobile phone. The capability of illness got integrated into the comfort of your homes. (*toxicity's workings: the introduction/absorbtion of a substance, maybe the bottle be filled with oil, words or views. Animate or inanimate) Which in turn lead to the mind being tricked into thinking there's nothing wrong with what you're doing or thinking in the place where you've always done so. So i think there's enough room for men in today's world, for today we have enough sex-changes. We just don't give Men, chances they need or want. Just like in a way, women didn't get theirs decades+ ago. Which is the time we live in, that also part reason i think. Because the development of the world that need to be done to get where we are, that need actual Hard physical labor, is done. The buildings built now, are for show. Popularity. Hubris. And yes to evolve we need more. But just like masculinity being misguided, do we need more? No. It's because we want to go further, we want more. So put those bricks down. Put those phones down. Take one week, 1. Pick 1, of the opposite sex to have an actual conversation with. Ask things You want answered. Not things you've been persuaded to ask. If that did something for you, you'll take another week. And not because i'm saying so. Take Your time

From listening/ watching to this video, it's evident that it revolves around confusion. In my view, the Red Pill movement brings up significant points. However, even the arguments presented in this video merely highlight a common ground but cater to different audiences. If we can find common ground and present the message appropriately, could be beneficial to mass . However, engaging with content from the Red Pill movement and then transitioning to this video can overwhelm an average person who lacks extensive analytical skills. It seems like there's a collective effort needed in the mental health sector, as many messages contain a blend of truths and falsehoods, leading to confusion and depletion for the average person. This pattern persists, whether it's individuals like yourself claiming to have the absolute truth and we all it's not true.

The interesting thing with Tate and all of these other gurus is that, if you know what to listen out for, you can actually learn a lot of valuable lessons from them. Tate’s views on women and healthy relationships are undoubtedly wrong, but his emphasis on taking care of yourself physically, having good routines, working hard and associating yourself with good people is, in my opinion, absolutely correct. All in all, I think it’s wrong to shut them out completely, but at the same time you shouldn’t take his word as it rolls off the tongue. What always frustrates me is when influencers say "red pillers say/believe". A lot of what was said in the first 4 minutes already is false. Examples: 1. "Followers also attribute women's desire for an emotional and sexual connection to an influence from the feminist matrix." -Usually I can at least figure out where the misunderstanding comes from. This time I can't. A. No, we don't think women's desire for intimacy does not come from the feminist matrix. B. We also don't believe in some feminist matrix. We do describe how women tend to go along with popular / other women's beliefs as a "hivemind" so maybe that's where that came from. C. We also aren't "followers". There is no "red pill pope" or something that we all blindly follow. The whole reason why the red pill is so fragmented is because we don't blindly follow. This is something others like to ascribe to it to avoid confronting the actual observations and arguments made by dismissing it as some form of religion or cult. The moment you say "red pill believes" you're probably wrong, there's many different groups with all kinds of differing opinions inside of the red pill community. D. No, women don't have a deep yearning to convince men to consent to exploitative relationships. Women have a deep yearning for comfort and security that due to modern culture expresses itself in exploitative ways. Will they due to their agreeable/conflict averse nature be more manipulative than men? Yes, but that is not a yearning to exploit men. That's just a part of being conflict averse and neurotic/avoidant. Which is a horrible combination when you give them the societal and legal protectiveness and privilege the likes of which only aristocrats could have matched. Being manipulative and spoiled tends to lead to controlling and manipulative behavior, not healthy relationships. 2. A. "Red pill believers" - No. B. Saying red pillers "reinforce their worldview" by drawing on evolutionary psychology is about as accurate as saying physicists test their theories through seismograph. Sure, when applicable they may use it to support the theory, however it is only one tool of many and few treat evolutionary psychology alone as enough evidence of anything. Physicists don't test their theories of about the wavelength of light through seismograph, neither do we. C. Finally an accurate statement, though immediately followed by a strawman (at best). Correct: "Women evolved physiological mechanisms to deceive men into generous partners and help their offspring survive." False: "And since all women supposedly have this Machiavellian instinct it's justifiable for men to have their own Machiavellian mindset." - To begin with, physiological mechanisms are not the same as instincts. So this isn't just wrong about the red pill even internally this argument is as sturdy as a paper sieve. Aside from that Red pill does not justify. The whole red pill metaphor is about swallowing the bitter pill of reality so you don't continue to live with comforting lies. It is not about our moral compass. Each person decides for themselves right and wrong. We may point out a belief that's blatantly false or proven wrong/dysfunctional, but we don't tend to force our beliefs on each other. That tends to be more the incel communities. I was planning to make a list for all the points in the video, but every half a sentence is filled with a paragraph of falsehoods and obviously biased/false information. Honestly a little disappointed. I'm used to thought provoking content from this channel, but this is just such a poorly thought through video without any self-reflection of your own biases on the subject.

If evolutionary biology doesn't form the crux of red pill, then what else does? I ask it because the whole spectrum of reasons given by red pillers will be somehow connected to the concept of evolutionary biology. Can you cite some examples where you give explanations or statements which hold reason without the support of Evolutionary science?

@lbert91As with all rigorous thought: you take information from multiple sources. From psychology to biology, from simple observation to tens of thousands of men attempting an idea and returning with the results they had. Sharing notes is the key principle. Basically the same way science was done before it became an institution. Not perfect, but some good ideas come out of it that can be improved upon later. As for tools the simplest are field reports, men going out there and trying out the ideas in the real world for themselves and returning with the results. Some bad field reports happen, but most old guys know how to sift through that (when you try to boost / soothe your ego it becomes kind of obvious). Others are observation and matching observations. So you don't go out and test an idea but simply observe what's happening and write it down accurately, then share notes. Then you have using scientific knowledge like evolutionary psychology, official statistics, biology, and then cross referencing it with observation and field reports. After all if it cannot be replicated then it is likely the study that was unreliable or incomplete. Other tools are less scientific and more like philosophy. People putting forward and debating ideas until some can go out and be tested. Debates, discussions, and other such conversations can often spark something. Then finally you have simply old guys with experience in life sharing their experiences. Sometimes the oldies have some wisdom to share. Nothing scientific but often useful nonetheless. Though to be fair this is a list of tools made by a layman, so I may have missed some as well. Rollo Tomassi (the rational male on youtube/blog) is a place to go. Others would include Rian Stone from the top of my head.

Masculinity is standing bahaind your decisions. Which means in first place being decisive. To do all of that, you cant be told what to do and to avoid that you need to be step ahead and pull the decision before its too late and youre being told what to do. Its a mind game and everyone else is there for a ride, whilst youre the one pulling the ropes. But obviously this requires several times the effot to be done correctly vs the freeloading ride. Especially since you will be both helped and criticized along the road the entire time and its up to you to see it fit. This is a leader. Sure this can be a women too but honestly unless youre from a special place where its cultural for women to be leaders or youre just like that, women will want his man to be the leader even if she says otherwise, she wants that safety net of masculinity that ive just explained. Now no course will ever teqch anything like that and only the life will show you, which i mean actually women will show you this. The moment youre off course, youll be put straight back onto it if she means u well or off it for good if she doesnt.

Red pill is a concept which needs to be addressed seperately and masculinity is another topic which requires a seperate analysis. It may appear to serve the purpose by mingling both but the whole idea of red pill gets blurred and masculinity falls into the misinterpretations with the burden of modern socio-political ideologies. The innumerable number of videos make this same mistake and end up failing to address either of them. It's only fair and meaningful to analyze masculinity after getting a proper groundlevel knowledge on "Redpill".

From what I’ve read about evolutionary traits, there’s one thing the red pill doesn’t acknowledge. Evolutionary traits aren’t set in stone, especially when it comes to mating, and things that animals, let alone humans, see as desirable mates vary wildly among populations. Mate preferences are expected to change with the environment a species lives in, otherwise nothing would be able to adapt, and this is what we are seeing within people.
