It's been a minute, but good things come to those who wait. Let me tell you, I find some good things. Giant Cow Killers, Black Widows, A massive Robber Fly takes out a Dragonfly mid flight, Wolf spiders that keep chasing after my hands and so much more. Enjoy part one of a two part camping adventure. #nature #wildlife #wow

Trying to ID the bug crawling across my living room floor - a red velvet ant, was how I found your channel a couple years ago. 😊

"Robber flies"?! I've been trying to figure out what that thing's are for YEARS! 😂 What state is this please? Im in Massachusetts. Just wondering what creatures featured in video I could find around me

I filmed this in New Jersey. There is similar diversity in Massachusettes, but there are a lot of things the specialize on living in Pine Barrens habitats.

I love robber flies. They always pose so nicely for photos. Found one eating a small spider wasp the other day and got some nice shots. Also, I love the inclusion of the “I have no idea what that is” clip given that’s usually what’s going on for 80% of these expeditions

I’ve seen a few velvet ants this summer! Never knew they were wasps :) Seems like I’ve heard them squeak occasionally: do they or was it my imagination?

No, you are correct. They can emit noise by stridulating their abdomen. It is an entertaining sound.
