LIFESAVER! Original installer used 2x2's and 2x4's and after 2 hours of monkeying with my double bowl fireclay sink they could not get the sink positioned properly. In fact, the sink was a little bit above the top of the cabinets so I knew the counter top crew would not be able to do their job. By chance Pete lives about an hour away. It was a Saturday afternoon when I called him and he came to help me out. It took about 5 minutes to remove the wood that was screwed in from the installer and another 15 minutes for Pete to install the mounting kit and get the sink exactly where it needed to go. I could not believe how easy it was. Too bad my remodeler wasted over 2 hours on this but luckily Pete helped me out!

This is a life saver. Unfortunately I only found this sink mount after trying a couple of different options that failed. This is by far the best I have found. It is so much easier to use as well and actually works very well. Thanks for making and offering it for sale. Hard to believe this is not available in stores that sell the sinks. When I asked the guy at the store where I bought the sink how to mount it he sort of had that deer in headlights look and said that a general contractor would know how to do it. Well, I learned that even general contractors don't have a very good or easy solution.

PERFECT! Glad I found this video. The current version of this is even better than what is in the video. My sink only has about 1/4" clearance on either side of the cabinet and the new brackets worked perfectly. Since we are in Portland Pete even dropped it off for me the night I ordered it which was a life saver because the stone guys were coming the next afternoon and we had to get the sink in place right away. You will not be disappointed!!

We live in a small city in Colorado (less than 10K people). We have several plumbers but when we remodeled our kitchen only 1 of them agreed to mount our 36" undermount farm sink. He was going to charge us $420 and then asked me to provide him with instructions on how to mount it because he had never actually installed one. We opted to install it ourselves and found Pete\'s Sink Mount on the internet. We were able to get one shipped very quickly and the cost was well under what we would have paid the plumber. We could not be happier. It was a breeze to install. The instructions were clear, short, incredibly user friendly. The installation of the bracket took us about 30 minutes. Should be a must have for all plumbers and contractors that do this work and even a beginner DIYer can install this easily.
This thing is great! My contractors told me not to get it. I think they wanted to charge me more for the way they wanted to install my sink and I did not want to see two by four wood under my cabinet. They wanted to build what looked like a table under my cabinet! I showed this to my mechanical engineer friend and he said "Get it!". He designs bridges and was very impressed with this. Pete was also very nice and helpful to work with.
I used this for one of my kitchen remodel and it saved me an entire day on the schedule. I only use undermount sinks (I'm partial to Rohl fire clay) and now I can install the sink in the morning and then have the countertop crew come in right after to make the template and I don't have to wait for the sink to dry into position. One of the countertops came back slightly off and we were able to easily move the sink slightly - pure genius but most important I save an entire day! Thanks for getting these to me so quick Pete. Thanks Pete. My granite sink weighed 325 lbs and this thing made it easy. I started about 3/16" above the cabinet top and lowered each corner down until it was just right. It took me about 30 minutes to do everything and I was done and waiting for the granite guys to show up and template. They thought it was pretty cool too. KW
I emailed Pete on Superbowl Sunday afternoon and he replied within the hour. We ended up talking on the phone and he shipped the kit to me Monday. WAY better then how I used to do this with 2x4's. A friend of mine used this to install a farmhouse sink and told me about it. I used it for my Kohler Whitehaven cast iron sink. Great mounting kit. I was surprised when I picked up the box. It was heavy! It looked well build on the video and flyer (what you see here is the old version of the mounting brackets) but when you see it in person, wow! If you are doing a nice kitchen and want to do it right, get this and do it yourself or make your contractor do it!!!
The brackets worked really well. When the countertop installers showed up they showed me that the counters weren’t level across the whole width and needed shimming on the low end. The sink being in the middle was then too low even though it was the right height for just that cabinet and in spite of the counters being templated. We undid some screws and raised the sink to the new height in about 20 minutes Gotta love adjustability! Thanks for your product, it was well built and did exactly what we needed.
Very easy to use and worth every penny. Undermount sinks have become so popular in the last year I have installed at least one each month. I have never had a call back from the homeowner or countertop guys because the sink is not exactly there they want it. Super easy and precise adjustment. I have years of experience installing kitchens and making wood mounts is never exact and always a pain. What the video does not mention is that today's poor quality wood is pretty wet and as it dries out it WILL warp and move, causing problems. This thing is a bit over built (this video is actually the old version but the video I'm familiar with) but you will appreciate the simplicity of the install and lifelong durability. You will be surprised when you pick up the box which I weighed as over 12 lbs. Sturdy is an understatement.
Great product! I have used 2x's in the past and this is much easier and faster to place the sink properly. Actual brackets are newer version than what you see here and are easier to use and allow more space for sink. I had less than 1/2" clearance on each side of sink and it was no problem at all. Kit shipped same day and arrived with no issues. Highly recommended. Danny
I have used the original version shown here in the video and also the newest version (twice in the last three weeks) which is great. Cleaner look under the cabinet but best of all I had only about 1/4" on either side of the sink for the install. Very easy to install and then lower into place. On the last install the countertop came back about 1/8"off so I was able to easily move the sink to the left to keep the negative reveal consistent. Flat out the easiest way to install undermount apron sinks in my house flips.
I ordered the kit but my contractor was not so sure about it. Once the sink was mounted he was smiling like a kid in a candy store. The actual kit has updated brackets and are even easier to install than what you see in the video. I thought the kit looked great in the video but pete sent me pictures to show me the new parts and it's even better than than what you see here. If you are thinking about ordering one for your kitchen, don't wait, you will be glad you did.
Sink install went very well…. initially thought it was a bit pricey but cheaper than my contractor and a better, more accurate install….. its worth it and 1000X better than alternatives or poor 2x4 solutions…. highly recommend.... great customer service too
Thanks Pete! Exactly what I needed for my fireclay sink. Price is a bargain compared to what my contractor wanted to charge me and he was trying to make it up as he went along. Luckily I went with this and not his kluge of 2x4s and plywood like he wanted to. He wanted to charge me almost $500 just for materials and time, and there's no way it would have ended up this nice. The only part of my kitchen remodel that went well was installing the sink with Pete's sink mount kit. It was easy and fast and we didn't have any problems with it at all. New brackets are a great design and I can see how they will work with any kind of kitchen sink.

I own and operate a sink replacement business. I've used the Pesimoki several times on cast iron undermount retrofits. If you use anything else, you're a fool. Once you've dialed a sink in to perfection in minutes, you'll never use any other system.
Hi - yes! Plenty of people have installed in MDF cabinets (like Ikea) with no problem. Can you install these brackets after the sink has already been installed. They guy just installed our sink and there aren't any supports installed under the sink at all which I found very strange. Also can these be purchased in Canada ??
Hello Jurgen. Yes. I have a new set of brackets so that everything remains below the bottom of the sink. You could mount everything then raise the support rails up to support your sink. Once mounted you will have about 3.5 cm to install the fasteners but it can certainly be done. Please email me at contact@sinkmount.com and I can get you some more information. HI Jurgen - I've used this three times now and one of them (new style bracket Pete mentions below) was to put a stainless sink "back" into position as the construction adhesive was failing and the homeowner had a 2x4 vertically holding the sink up which was in the way and certainly not permanent. It was a house flip but the kitchen was in great shape so instead of pulling the kitchen apart I just dropped the sink out to clean off all of the old adhesive then put the sink back up into position and then used the 2x4 to hold it up while I put the brackets in place and it worked great. I used it to fix the crappy job done by my home builder who glued my stainless sink to the granite counter top. Can't believe how poorly they build homes these days. Do they really think some kind a spaceage glue is goin hold up a sink that has a disposal vibrating like cray and lots a weight from stuff? Use one of these things and the sink ain't going knowwhere! Can this system be used as a retro fit? To say it an other way, we have a sink where the clips have failed and it is unlikely that we can get the sink out of the cabinet.

HI Ed - I apologize for the delay but wanted to get the answer out there. Yes, I will trim the support rails down for cabinets narrower than 36". I typically keep stock of kits trimmed for 30" cabinets so they can ship out same day. I am actually trimming a set today for a 26" internal width for someone who is mounting a Kohler Ledges cast iron undermount vanity sink in a bathroom. Thank you! Pete

I'm redoing my kitchen and would like to do this for an apron front undermount sink so that in the case that i want to replace the sink in say ten years i can. My countertop installer said you cant replace an undermount sink without removing granite. Is that true? Because I think that if i use this i would be able to. Thank you.
HI Angel - I am sorry for the late reply. Yes, you can keep the counter top in place, drop the sink and use this to install the new sink while the countertop is in place. You can easily mount a sink weighing over 300 lbs but by the time you complete yeh installation it will easily hold your sink filled with water, dishes, disposal etc. The kit is 12 lbs of stainless steel and much stronger than most people will ever need. I ended up using (I think) this system. It was two years ago so not 100% sure it was yours, but may have been. Two metal rails which adjustment bolts. Even a novice like me was able mount a very heavy Kohler deep-basin kitchen sink all by myself. It was actually pretty easy and looks great! (Which I could attach pictures)

I flipped my cabinet over and mounted the sink upside-down. I used three independent 6" high quality 2x4s on each side with liquid nails. Sink is level to the cabinet and with (3) 2x4s on each side the cabinet mitigates the likelihood of a catastrophic failure caused by high torque on any end of the sink from a failed corner.
The foam strips will rot out after about 10 years and the sink will start rattling when you run the dishwasher. Better to use silicone caulk. Too bad the mechanically adjusting part of the assembly wasn't located below the brackets instead of above it, this way the sink could be installed into a smaller cabinet that doesn't have room on the sides for the bracket.
