Time and time again, I read and hear other artists and listeners disrespect Phil Collins, and call him a sellout, amongst other things. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but, even without his incredible drumming skills, his soaring vocals, his numerous solo hits, his work with Genesis and other artists, even without all that, I have nothing but respect, admiration and awe for a singer/songwriter who releases 'In the Air Tonight' as their first solo single.
