Man This really shows just how truly tragic and horrible the Calamity was holy crap. The bit that shows the deaths of the champions was truly terrible… in a good way it gave me chills and made me kinda sad

wait the part where he sang that the royal family betrayed him fits so well! Since Ganondorf has been the same person since Oot, he was out of nowhere betrayed by the family because of Link! He obviously remembers that and still feels malice for that. Also "the curse" line: Demise's curse.

A detail I like is when Ganondorf uses his malice magic it looks as if he’s using his own blood with how it’s shaded even Calamity Ganon looks as if he is just made of blood as he cuts the image of Hyrule it looks as if it is bleeds as well as when he puts the malice on the painting of the king and queen the magic runs down as it is blood flowing down and as he creates the image of the champions falling to the blights it looks as if he stabs his hands with how sharp his fingernails are

2:55 I paired the song with the cutscenes of the Blood Moon, where all the slain Monsters are revived.

UM HOLY SHIT this was so AWESOME!! I never realized how well this song fits with Ganondorf!!! Amazing work!!!

I can't wait for the Sequel, the Man with the Evil Eyes has finally returned.

Highlights include the brutal deaths of all the Champions.

The dark history of the Romanoffs and Rasputin being etched into the Zelda storyline make this alternate telling, gut wrenching. The stakes feel higher. The dread of being chased by a fate you cannot escape. And then you get to the last chapter. The final stand. The fight to end it all. There's comfort knowing that it's a video game, and you can restart the checkpoint. But you'll never get that rush of adrenaline/anxiety ever again. The feeling of, "If I choke, make one wrong move, it's all over."

I was hoping this was the Anastasia music, so good and it fits so well with Zelda deserve this subscription

Long Post: trust me I'm going somewhere. So I always imagined that the way the Blights were made was that Ganon sent a bit of malice to each divine beast which then pieced together Sheikah Tech to make their forms. The forms in Age of Calamity were actually the original way they looked, but after Zelda sealed Calamity Ganon in Hyrule Castle, the Blights fell apart and over the 100 years the tech they used to form fell off each of the Divine Beasts and caused them to go dormant without a pilot. However, as Zelda's seal faltered he was able to reform them and send them out and retake control of the Divine Beasts. All this to say I wish the "Rise my minions, rise for your master" was a shot of each Blight reforming after 100 years.

It is now my headcanon that Ganondorf sang this song (with lyrics changed to the Zelda names) right after Link and Zelda were made out of commission and the path was clear for him to ruin the entire infrastructure of the land.

BtOW is the the most depressing Zelda game for me, they went out of their way to prepare for Ganon’s next coming and it still goes horribly wrong, probably more so than if he took them by surprise.

Honestly fit perfectly how the memories tell the story. One thing to point out how Ganondorf is part of the story of this video amazing, okay yeah as what we see we didn't see him there in BOTW 1 but this just tells a great tale even the song, perfect! Just hearing "Come my minions fly for your master! Let your evil shine!" just perfect touch. Maybe we see bit more in BOTW 2

Ok, three years late, but this is amazing. The song eerily fits, and for just a minute, I thought you'd do a dark ending. Instead, at the last second, just like in the game, Zelda manages to awaken her powers. Beautifully done.

i dont mean to be dramatic but AUUUAAHAHUAHWAH 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭💝💕💓💘💖😭🥺💞💕 this was fantastic!! when i realised the crown and the hand in the beginning belonged to king rhoam that knocked me right on my ass, same with ganon's visions of the blights killing the champions and the guardian slashing link across the face and that ENDING!! you did an awesome job with this animatic and capturing the chaotic destruction of the great calamity

This fits really well. If you wanted i bet there are people willing to rerecord this using the names of ganon, hyrule, and zelda as all the syllables line up well.

Combined with this music, it struck me that stal-creatures are actually really freaky. They're just kind of annoying in-game, like the yiga, but if I met a stal-creature irl I'd shit myself in terror.
