Hi Dave. I am also in TX (North DFW) and have 6 mature green ash trees on my property. Over the past couple years saplings have been popping up around the property. About 3 yrs ago one came up on the west side of the house that would get a great canopy to shade from west sun bout it is only about 8-10 feet from the house. I am not afraid of the canopy, but more the roof system. Should I be concerned about the roots affecting my concrete slab eventually?
